I was watching the today show this morning and they were talking about the fiasco that happened last night. I couldn\'t imagine the elation of finding out your hubby overcame huge odds to survive and then a few hours later learn that they are dead.
I then watched the end of the Orange Bowl on TiVo and got to see last nights news.
They were all over the church where everyone was so excited about the news their kin were alive.
Pretty sad.
But man.. I really can\'t believe the one dude made it.
Why do they only have a few hours worth of supplies? A mask to filter air and a bottle of O2...
That is amazing that they don\'t have some chamber down there or something with stock piles of O2 or a machine that pumps air in from outside somehow.
Oh well. That\'s why I went to college.

Yeah, someone dropped a bollock there, eh?
how did they get the wrong info in the first place? It said something on sky news about someone tapping into the phone call between some mine official and the rescue party who got the wrong end of the stick and thought they were alive, then leaked it out.

Can we blame this on Bush, somehow?

1: George Bush doesn\'t care about the Miners.
2: The Bush Adminstration should have more restrictions on these mines. This company has many safety violations. The Bush Adminstration, should go over the State goverment and take action! This is a let down by our federal goverment.
3: George Bush was on vacation.

Sad yes, but after 3 days I don\'t know why or how anyone expected one survivor, they were beyond hope that one actually survived.

Rarely is the question asked: is our miners learning?

I was kind of annoyed by the spectators. I would get the family members in a bit of histaria but the people standing around were saying they were "lieing", "hypocrites" and stuff like that..
yes..they were lieing and figured noone would notice..and "hypocrites" doesnt really fit here.
But like everyone else said, someone spoke too soon and of course "everyone alive" would spread like wild-fire. Bad situation but the people around the place kinda annoyed me with how they handled it..authorities and civilians.
