Title: Dark Monitor Problem
Post by: Viper_Fujax on January 11, 2006, 08:15:36 PM
I have a pretty crappy monitor. ViewSonic..18"..huge like a 1980\'s computer. http://www.superwarehouse.com/ViewSonic_G75F+_17_CRT_Monitor/G75F+/p/232618 kinda like that but more boxy . anyway...

Im trying to watch batman and collateral, but the movies are too dark to see anything. Iv right clicked and went to properties and putting up the gamma/brightness that way did nothing to the picture of the video.

I already pressed the buttons on the monitor and have the brightness and contrast all the way up back when i got it.

I went into DivX properties and put the gamma/brightness all the way up and didnt make any difference on the picture.

Is there any way to brighten up the picture besides the 3 ways i tried?

correct you are..

i checked the same file on my brothers computer and i could see faces in the cab scene with jamie fox and the chick. No pun intended of them being black, but that didnt help my monitor :D

My brother showed me this one that seems like a good one:

ehhh, view it in person.  Don\'t be surprised if the Viewsonic sitting next to it has better colors.  That\'s been my experience every time I go to Worst Buy
