id like to put a picture up but..we remodeled my house so i have no idea where the camera or the usb is.

this is what i have: (bass stuff)
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/603077/ and a peavy head to power it..got the head on ebay http://www.uncleikes.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/firebass700.jpg

http://laurent.elie.free.fr/images/Les_instruments/SR200.JPG (but blue)

unfortunately..my band all went to different colleges and iv kinda lost the desire to play bass. Im keeping the huge stuff JUST INCASE. Kind of disappointed i saved up from like 4th grade and bought it as a freshmen in high school and lose interest.

So i play my brothers fender squier (he doesnt play it anymore) and a 15 watt amp my friend let me borrow since he went away for college and doesnt use it.

Guitar\'s a lot better playing alone, but if i ever do a band again bass is way more fun.

He owes me enough for me to keep his guitar, but I\'m planning on returning it soon and replacing it with the Jackson, it\'s a good guitar once it\'s set up surprisingly good for a budget Ibanez, the Edge Pro II is nowhere near a real Floyd or top of the line Edge but it does the job.

The Jackson is very tempting and I\'ll probly get it next month, only two things first I\'d like 24frets on it since it\'s replacing a 24 fretted guitar and the V shape is something you don\'t sit down with and I play a whole lot sitting down.
However I really don\'t want another soloist shape, I can get a Jackson DKMG Dinky (http://www.sweelee.com.sg/Images/Jackson/DKMG%20Dinky%20Transparent%20Green(Enlarge).jpg) for cheap also but I want a different shape, and I\'m not too keen on reverse headstocks, I like good looking V\'s like the Rhoads one so yeah.

you must do a lot of shredding and ripping.

$100 says the first thing you play on that Rhoads is "crazy train"....

\'cos that\'s wot I\'d do.

Actually I don\'t do a lot of shredding, I\'m not the fastest player there is, but planning to do some shredding on it. It\'s going to be in drop d most of the time and used for riffst and nice little solo\'s, and to play around with the tremolo and pinches :p

Ohh and then you owe me a 100 bucks since Crazy Train won\'t be the first thing I play on it ;) not much of an Ozzy fan at all, hell not even a Rhoads fan I just like the shape.

The first thing will likely be Opeth\'s The Grand Conjuration once it\'s in drop D and some early Machine Head since I\'ve been listening to that stuff lately.

But it won\'t be my main guitar, that spot is filled with my Eclipse which I love like a man loves a boy

Well, I believe you\'d be voiding that guitar\'s warranty if you don\'t play crazy train on it. It\'s in the fine print. But I\'ll pay up...since you guys don\'t use money in Iceland, I\'ll send you $100 worth of rancid shark meat, or seal eyes. ;)

I can honestly say I have never played guitars by any of those makers, except Hagstrom. I had a \'60\'s Haggy electric for a while. I am a sucker for the classics. I\'ve owned 2 Les pauls, a gibson 335, fender jaguar, mustang, musicmaster, jazzmaster, 2 teles, and I still have my Framus \'65 strato-deluxe, none of which are any good for death metal (except maybe the LP\'s, but the inherent G-string quirks associated with those would make playing in drop tunings a bitch unless you have a full-time guitar tech ;))

I like the esp\'s craftsmanship, very tight looking.

19xx Squier Stratocaster POS
1989 Fender American Standard Stratocaster
Yamaha classical guitar of unknown origin
2001 Taylor 714ce
2003 Baby Taylor maple
Yamaha bass of unknown origin

I also have a Roland GI-20 midi guitar interface, and the GK-3 pickup, etc.  I have installed it on the Fender in the past, but it is not currently installed.  I am planning to purchase another guitar with a Roland-ready pickup and 13-pin output integrated into the body, so that will become my primary midi-guitar.  I don\'t like the clutter of the GK-3 box and wiring sitting on the surface of the guitar.

Looking forward to them seal eyes yum

I do suggest you go to some guitar store and try out a nice ESP something from the standard series like the Eclipse or a Horizon tbey are really very good and versitile. Hell even the LTD\'s are damned good, I do have a softspot for ESP though so I\'m a little biased, don\'t know why though.

The Yamaha is surprisingly good for a cheapo, when I bought it I tried out some lower end Fenders and liked the Yamaha a whole lot more, but the Ibanez might not be something you like doesn\'t have a very soft warm sound like the Les Pauls or the Strat twang but the pickups in mine suck ass, but the neck kicks ass though very thin.

I am curious how you like that PodXT though,  since as you said you\'re a sucker for the classics I\'d really like to know how you like the tube emulation and all that.

Ohh and post pics of the Les Paul or face my wrath.... my wrath and the stench of rotting shark meat and sheep heads. :p

Luke, I\'m curious what kind of bass that is, it does look all kinds of nice.

Very nice though Chizz.

actually, the LP deluxe is supposed to have mini (p-90) humbuckers in it. These are standard 496R & 500T gibson humbuckers (with the covers removed) that somebody along the way had installed (routing out the body, etc...) The serial # is consistent with a LP deluxe, tho.  I\'ve owned this guitar for about 10 years.

I love Ludwig kits. I\'d love to get one with the huge bass drum, ala Zeppelin. I used to have an old Slingerland kit, Orange sparkle. I sold it to a dude, and he ended up selling it to the drummer of weezer. It was funny, \'cos when we played with them, I was like, "holy shit, I had the same kit!" then we figured it out. Small world.

Oh, and I highly recommend the Pod. All I can say is, WOW! Sounds so like the real thing, I feel like a retard hauling out the Twin & miking it. ( but I still do...) It\'s great for trying out different sounds, I usually end up keeping some of them.

just set up a mixer, then create a redrum, load in samples (wav files for each slot) or load in a kit (found in the reason factory sound bank) Adjust the # of steps (starts at 16) and you select each instrument with the button at the bottom of each slot. Hold on... lemme work on something.

Ok, I got that far.

I just want to use Redrum for samples. I need to be able to actually program the beats with Cubase.

Everything I read is telling me thats possible.

oh, ok.

open cubase, then open reason, then enable reason in the midi preferences in cubase (It\'s automatic in cubase sx, dunno in le) then make a midi track, and in the dropdown input menu, choose reason mixer L+R... enable ext sync in the reason transport... you should be rockin\'.
