3rd party memory cards have a habit of shitting the bed on gamers.

Butter it up and eat it cause its\' TOAST.

Put it in the freezer. It will fuse the homotrons together and you\'ll be able to use it.  It will only work for a bit though so put a Sony card in and transfer the files over before the card thaws.

yes, but the freezer trick will only work once, after that you\'ll have to use the microwave trick..

Ditch third party. Use only cards licensed by Sony, otherwise you probably will have problems. I always paid the extra few bucks and get the Sony one becacsue I know I won\'t have problems since it is their technology.

I\'ve found that an overnight stay in a warm, moist place at 98.6 degrees F will often remedy the situation. Trace fecal elements will only speed up the process.

I only ever used sony mem cards, even on my old PS1, I don\'t think it\'s beneficial to anyone to try to skimp a few bob and buy one of the cheaper shit ones.

To date (touches wood (ooo-err)), I\'ve never had a problem with mem cards.

My PS2 however, that\'s a different matter.

My old one went for a shitter about 9 months ago or so, and now my new one seems to be playing up a bit when it attempts to load textures, most notably in GTA SA, large sections of the map appear blank or in low res for ages.
