If none of those titles slip, strong month.
-
WTF?Man that is crazy. And total list isnt big either
-
Damn.
That list is almost as bad as the PSP .
-
Well, I don\'t think it\'s that bad. There\'s one title I\'d want in February and at least four in March. :)
-
i thought march was going to be a good month. Not that i have one or ever plan on getting one.
not sure what saints row is but ghost recon, burnout, farcry, battlefield, baseball, maybe godfather...considering games are 60 bucks now its not like id go on a spree of buying games even on ps3.

There is another big problem here.No exclusives, no true next gen games yet

Um, have you seen Fight Night Round 3? Elder Scrolls IV?
-
To tell the truth I didnt see Elder Scrolls IV.Fight Night Round3 except from the graphical quality there isnt much improvement on animation and gameplay from what I ve seen and heard so far.Not what I ve been expecting since the E3 demo
But even if they are, they are still extremely few, and Fight Night isnt a defining genre is it?
-
Fight Night is the only boxing game I\'ve heard of apart from Mike Tison\'s Punchout. It defines the gnere for me. ^_^

I\'ve heard heaps about FN3. From better controls, better gameplay (can\'t abuse haymakers) and story line. You have those little media conferences and can end up in a punch on. Sounds Great.

Now if I remember correctly the PS2 launch had a huge drought as well, with a few sub-par games being released in between launch and March.

Although the launch games are doing much to push the next gen, Elder Scrolls definitely will.
Prey might, and it\'s being hyped a little bit by IGN as posigbly turning out better then GoW.
-
Prey... I remember reading about that game in the 90\'ties. I was surprised to learn that they actually intend to ship it! :)
It felt a bit like a "Duke Nukem 4Eva" moment.
-
did ddaryl just compare this to a console launch 5 years ago?
-
Saint\'s Row should be a fantastic game.
I\'ll check out Scarface just because the movie was amazing.
Other than that, I\'m not thrilled by the lineup.

we call that looking at trends. Just because it was "5 years ago" doesnt mean we wont see mediocre launch games followed by a strong list after a consoles been around AGAIN.
Considering xbox had a worse game selection than ps2, i dont doubt the list of games wont get better. But i have a feeling the ps3 launch will be mediocre but will end up being the console with a better game selection.

did Viper_Fujax just excuse ddaryl for comparing to a console launch 5 years ago?
-
I\'ve played the Fight Night demo, amazing.

It\'s valid.
All consoles go through a drought following launch. Take the blinders off.
Does it change the fact the 360 still sucks? No, but it does ease the pain.
-
blinders?
-
mm\'hmm.
You act like the PS2 didn\'t suffer a drought. Want a drought? Look at the PSP. It\'s common for a new system to struggle , it\'s just worse for the 360.

I think its the movies that is really saving the PSP right now. I don\'t get why you\'d pay the same amount for a UMD when you can get it on DVD for the same price. I dunno. I just don\'t get it.
-
well, at least LIC compared it to a launch in the last year.
i havent checked but is the PSp really down to 2 new games scheduled a month?
**wow, just looked. lots of titles

i guess irony is a learned trait.

because taking the PSP on the bus is so much cooler than those 6" portable DVD players
-
Some of those portables are cheaper :p
