Teen beats up his grandmother - because she won\'t buy him beer
Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies say a 16-year-old has been arrested for beating his grandmother with a two-by-four for refusing to give him $100 for beer.
Charged is Kurt Cass of Hammock Drive, Bradenton.
(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tampabays10.com%2Fassetpool%2Fimages%2F0612418416_Kurt_Cass.jpg&hash=5bd155ff95245c4f8611efb5e68dfc027decdd9d)
Investigators say Cass went into his 60-year-old grandmother\'s bedroom Thursday and asked her for $100 for beer. When she refused, he allegedly placed a razor blade on her throat and demanded she take him to the bank to get the money, deputies said.
"When the victim arrived back home she locked all of the doors," deputies reported. "The defendant arrived back home and kicked the front door in.
"Once inside the defendant grabbed a two foot 2x4 piece of wood and hit the victim numerous times on the back. The defendant then grabbed a three foot piece of 3 inch PVC pipe and hit the victim on her head, back, and legs numerous times. The defendant\'s case worker arrived on scene and was able to hold him until law enforcement arrived."
Deputies said Cass has made comments in the past to his grandmother that she should kill his entire family.
Cass was charged with domestic aggravated assault, two counts of domestic aggravated battery, attempted robbery, and kidnapping.
The grandmother has had legal guardianship of Cass and his little brother since 1994.
Authorities tell us today that Cass came from a troubled family. His mother is in prison on cocaine possession and sale charges, and his father is serving a 15-year prison sentence for manslaughter after choking a prostitute to death in 2002.

Traditional Los Angeles family. They should\'ve moved there and things would\'ve been alright.

I blame it on his fatness.

I blame it on the fact that using a photocopier machine/scanner to take your pic not only makes you look like a fat twat, it also gives you brain damage
-
Bradenton, not Tampa.
People like this are why abortion should not only be legal, but the parents should have to take a test and if you don\'t pass you immediately get sedated and aborted.

You guys are so 20th Century! Get with the times, boys!
Today in America, it\'s never the kids\' fault! It\'s society, movies, music, Bush, and video games who are steering the young in the wrong direction! Being responsible for your own action is so last century.
-
No its your generation\'s fault ;)
-
Friggin disgusting.Stuff like this many times comes from upbringing.Really makes you wonder what his father is like.
-
His father, mother and grandmother.
You know that old bitch had it comin\'. ;)

Actually time out does work. I\'ve never in my life touched Logan and he hasn\'t been in the time out chair but probably 20 times in his life and hasn\'t been in the darn thing in well over a year.
Raise him right from birth and they will be good kids.

you have me wrong there Vid,..and the point is tru enough, if you raise them right from birth, they will turn out ok. what i\'m sayin is that when you\'re out and about and your kid wants to fall out the floor sayin s**t like NO MOM!...LEAVE ME ALONE!..I WANT IT NOW!...yo if my child ever acted out like that, let alone started to hook off on me?...trust it wouldn\'t be time for timeout,..more like time for a knockout!....

Well put.
Sure we have all these influences, but what is the deciding factor? Your own choices.

In this case this kid has a big time screwed up upbringing, and real bad genetics !!!!!

Yep this is what we need, more government agencies determining who can do what, when and how.
It\'s only a matter of time before we see the Next Hitler rise up, but instead of creating the master race with breeding, we\'ll see the master race based upon DNA.
I\'ll accept humanity as the imperfect race that itis, before I will ever subscribe to any form of DNA purifying, or testing as you put it.
Humans are flawed, always have been and always will be, we\'re human.

I got knocked around, I turned out just fine, precious...

He\'s gonna kick your ass for beer money. Why? Coz he won\'t fear you. Give him the fear of the back hand and he\'ll fear you for life.

I don\'t want him to fear me. I want him to respect me.

He\'ll respect you as long as he deserves it and you don\'t over do it.

Exactly. He and I are buddies. I\'m not a no sir kind of guy. I\'d rather him call me buddy than daddy. :)
-
So when he grows up, you and him can build furniture?
-
I Agree with clips it is all in upbringing. Many times, you see kids doing exactly what the parents are doing. When i was in junior high there was one kid who would come to class all bruised. His dad drank and would beat up him and his mom. Turned out his dad just did what his dad would do. Then one day this kid dissapeared. Found out he pulled a lizzy borden on his dad. Came back to school about 8 months later, i got up the courage to talk to him.Said he just got tired of seeing his mom in tears, so he protected her. As far as i know he is married has kids and has a great life.

You\'ll have to pardon me here, the world we live in has too many people who honestly believe what you said, and I fear for humanities future. I comb enough message boards to read comments by too many that embrace this kind of mentality
its also hard to disect the jokes and sarcasm from just text... can\'t read body language via text, next time post us pics of the proper emotion demonstrated so we know ;D

Being a Buddy with his parents didn\'t stop my next door neighbour from going to prision for manslaughter.. This kid has a hard life in front of him simply because he doesn\'t know any better. It\'s probably not just the family but the people he hangs out with too.
