Title: Well I\'m off to bid a job

So I am going to bid on the show I\'ve been doing for 6 years now.  THere was a big shakeup in the company and there is a chance they will move to Knoxville.  It is bloody hell.  Anyway I\'ll be making a pretty important pitch so if they say no I\'ll probably have to sell Logan so any bidders?

Pile of crap.  I can\'t get into it because it would be a 3 page story and none of you would read it, but these guys are out of their fucking mind and are about to go down the tubes fast.

They just don\'t care about the quality of work and would have the shows produced by high school students if they could.  So I may just be doing the fishing show.  No big deal though.  I work 52 days and I make 42,000 bucks so I\'m really going to do just fine.  It\'s just that TGG was a lot of fun for me to be a part of and a heck of a lot of money.

Luckily for us we haven\'t signed the loan for our house yet.  The property we bought went for 75-125k in only a year and a half so we\'ll just kick back for a while until I find a solid gig.

It was a valid question. I don\'t understand why you would have to pay for work. Isnt\' it the other way around?

ugh....slaves can be so dense.

It\'s where they sit and listen to how much you can do the job for them. Then the next guy comes in and says teh same thing. etc... then the cheapest dude gets the job.

Simple Example:

You need a gardener to do your lawn every week. So you put up an auction bid for that work.

Several qualified gardeners offer you how much money they will charge you to do your lawn. They are bidding against each other. But it is the person with the lowest bid that wins.

Why?

You don\'t want to pay a white man $35 an hour, do you? You want to save money and hire the lowest bidder, such as MissTique\'s Mexican father, for 22 cents an hour.

Well they don\'t care what the show looks like so they are going to put together the cheapest staff and somehow pound the shows out at rediculously low costs.  But the show will look like shit.

All I can say is at least your taking it like a man you dont sound resenfull at all.
