I dont want to get into the discussion of why ipods suck..
But mines pissing me off. Mulitple times i go to listen to music and my list of songs dont show up. But when i plug it into my computer the songs are on itunes and a day after that they are on my ipod and i can listen no problem. But (it seems) 2 days after i plug it into my computer the songs dont show up. And when they dont show up, there is GB\'s that are used so that ARE there..no idea why they dont show up though.
I\'m not 100% sure if theres a correlation between plugging it into my computer and being able to see it a day afterward, then if i dont it disappears after a couple days, but that seems to be the case.
The easy solution i guess is to plug it into my computer every day but thats kinda a pain in the ass.

I\'ve had an ipod for almost 2 years now, never had an issue with it.
-
Mine\'s still fine.
-
never had a problem with mine, I\'d suggest doing a factory reset of it and resync your library to the iPod.
-
ipod nano.... negro....
not a problem
-
This is why I got a Creative Zen Micro mp3 player :p
-
zen micro > all
-
I\'ve been totally happy with mine sence the day I got it.
-
My creative products work well. Never had an iPod, so I can\'t bash them.... although my cousin is on her fourth in 2 years (2 were her fault).
-
Update the software on your ipod.
Also never had a problem with mine.
-
I\'ve never had a problem with mine either :p
-
I\'ve got the iPod video 30GB got it as a gift, its cool only problem I have with it is the little scuff marks on the screen even though I have a case for it
-
i updated to the most recent one.
Think im just going to run down to the apple store. Maybe i got a defective mini ipod (that they stopped making) and theyll give me a nano for my troubles, lol.
-
I can\'t believe they actually discontinued the ipod mini. Seems like a bad idea. I\'d rather have one that size than the nano which I would lose in like 2 days.
-
They need to make a 30GB non-color ipod with a newer battery. I\'m tired of seeing them add all of these extras that I would never use and watch them suck away all the battery life.
-
Seems like battery life has been growing with each model. no?

I got this, and it\'s awesome.

If you get it be warned, you basically get one chance to put it on.. But if you follow the directions and are patient with it it works amazingly well. It even made the scratches I already had on mine disapear.

Take all the needless crap away, and it would be even higher. Plus it would be cheaper.
But I guess all the video and shit is what entices consumers.
-
what needless crap are you talking about?
-
Video I guess.
You do realize you don\'t HAVE to watch videos on it right?
I hardly ever do. My Ipod is for music.
-
and color
I can\'t turn that off.
-
What\'s wrong with color? SHit my Ipod lasts for freaking ever. I\'ve never even been close to running out of juice. I mean if I was going out in space I may have a problem, but I bet they have a cigarette lighter to plug in to.
-
I just got my ipod video, and I have a similiar situation
It says I have 1837 songs when I goto shuffle, but my Anapod software (which destroys itunes crap) says 2132.
Not sure what the deal is, but overall I am very happy having a 30GB Ipod 200 songs and 13GB of free space left
-
Luke, I\'m assuming it just protects the iPod, but you said that the scratches disappeared???
-
I bought my fiance the shuffle one and she has never had any problems with it. Infact, she actually uses the hell out of it.

Yeah, those little stratches you get that are barely visable will be masked by the film. its hard to explain, you kinda have to see it in person.
the stuff works wonders though.
-
Awesome, thanks.

Dont feel like making another ipod thread.

They sell FM adapters. Just plug it in your cars cigarette lighter and plug the other end into your iPod/Zen/other mp3 player and it works great.
-
If you have a solid antenna. My car is heavily insulated and the signal couldn\'t travel from the ipod, through the car to the antenna. Actually I have no clue where my antenna is. Anyway, I took it right back. Blew monkey nuts.
Just bought a new ipod.. Got a 60 gig video one. Gave my mom my 30 gig photo.
THe video is pretty cool. There are some pretty good video podcasts out there. Some good Photoshop and After Effects tutorials. Much bigger screen too. Me likey.
-
anyone else have a bad problem with the Casette > FM transmitter distorting? I know even at low volumes you can hear the distortion on ours.

Vid. Some companies make head units you can plug your iPod into. I don\'t think you want to do that though, huh :)
-
I\'m fine. I have mine tapped right into the system. I tried the FM modulator just to see if it would work in my car.
-
I wonder if those head units that can control the iPod can control any other mp3 player too.
-
got the itrip yesterday. Works really well. Kind of confused/too lazy to figure out how to tune it to other stations, but the default one is good enough.

My FM adapter has like 8 stations you can tune to at a touch of a button. Sometimes it does cut out for some reason when I\'m at one section of highway coming home from school. I think that\'s what its for but I like to concentrate on driving instead of fidgeting with this thing and changing radiostations on my head unit.
-
mine came with a cd that put a shit load of numbers. But you have to like pick one of the stations on the ipod (imported from the cd), match it with the frequency on the radio, wait till it flashes and press play.
Not sure whether i have to do that every time i change or if it keeps all the stations i do.
People complain about that static but the way i figure it, its listening to an awesome radio station and not have to deal with cd\'s for 20 bucks.
