I was going to go with a projector. I really wanted one. But I hear the lens don\'t last long and they cost between $5-600.

Thanks I actually got the set for about $200 less and I bought a 2 year warranty with that. So total price was the same with warranty.
I can\'t wait to watch the big game.

Where do you lieve and what service are you using?
You only need an antenna if you aren\'t going with an HD cable service or if you are Direct TV and not in a top 12 market.

I stay in warren michigan. The guy at the store was telling me I would have to buy an antenna to get local broadcast in hd. So I dunno. When I turn on the set I don\'t see the hd channels like they had showed me in the store.
I am going to go back to the store.
congrats Luke:bounce:

try this site out.
I\'d first call your cable or sat providor though before investing in an antenna.

Congrats on your new toy

congrats on the new tv. :)
I have a NEC projector w/ 86" screen set-up right now in my living room. It\'s on loan from a friend.
For some reason my wife didn\'t like the idea of one and has always been against me getting a HD set in the near future. I finally got her to sit down a watch a movie on it.....
After just a few mins she was floored and wants to get one almost as bad as I do. We just bought a new house, so we are definately installing one after settlement in a few weeks :) Playing F.E.A.R. on it is also very awesome as well :nerd:
I had like 25 people over for a superbowl party and everybody raved over the screen except for the women, they watched on the 36" tube because it was "too big"
..... women.....
