if Sony bought a lot of the commerical spots during the SuperBowl to announce the release date of the PS3.

Commercials so far have been mostly in HD.  Pretty nice.

I hear they are rolling commercials directly from the truck so HD people don\'t have that popping noise switching to network.

Because they\'ve been keeping it a safely guarded secret about their launch and it would be ironic if they suddenly surprised everyone with a Super Bowl commercial.

but thats not ironic

companies make \'suprise\' commerials all the time especially during the superbowl
