Well sorta:

Looks neat, even though 99% of you will say it\'s stupid.
I think it\'s a step in the right direction though. I would like to get up and walk around while traveling, not just confined to my seat for several hours. Reminds me of the Diva ship in the 5th Element. :)

thanks for reminding us mm... now I never want to ride a blimp in my life.
-
Beat me to it, mm.
Was gonna say: "what could go wrong?"
That\'s a pretty cool looking blimp, though. Monstrous.

They don\'t use the same gasses and technology anymore, blimps now are much safer than airplanes.
-
great idea back then to use a FUCKING EXPLOSIVE GAS
-
flammable, the hindenburg didn\'t explode
-
wasnt it hydrogen? like the sun..so technically the atoms exploded..meh meh meh, lol.
I think..i might be talking out of my ass again.
i probably wont be riding in one of those..there will probably be a titanic version of it..then theyll learn and THEN itll be safe to fly.
-
Its friggin slow. 175mph?
-
How fast do airliners go?
-
you think air traffic is a mess now,..just think of the nightmare when you have a few hundred of those things flyin\' around..:ohnoes:...when i was reading the article i couldn\'t help but to think of that pic mm posted..:p...still that\'s a pretty nice concept.
-
well.. nobody likes to fly as it is. As long as something\'s being done to give us an alternative I\'m jappy.
-
It would be cool to have blimps again. Its not something you want to fly in if its speed you\'re looking for though.
-
hey retards who think airships today will burn: they use fucking helium now. it\'s a fire retardant: it doesn\'t burn!
-
Fact is, blimps SHOULD come back. They use far less fuel to move far more mass and volume an equal distance when compared to planes. That savings can either be passed onto the consumer or used to improve services. For travel, costs will be about the same by distance, but you will get a roomier area, better service for that price. In terms of moving cargo, blimps are the way to go (compared to airplanes), especially if they stick to blimps that are lighter than air.
Things that can go wrong in a lighter-than-air helium blimp are basically limited to very non-whole-craft threatening things. If the engines fail, they don\'t crash out of the sky automatically, afterall.

Blimps sthoush come back because they are aweomse and they shoudl come back.
-
Going to get another "dude i dont remember posting that" post tomorrow...lol
But whys everyone saying blimps coming back? i see them up in the air now and then for advertisement. Were they used for transportation before er something?
-
yup. ever heard of the hindenberg? but that wasn\'t a blimp. it was a rigid airship.
-
that thing rocks, I\'d love to take one of those across country. Stick a bar by the window, I\'ll plant my ass there for 18 hours.

2 things. No I seriously don\'t remember posting that. I was completely retarded last night. Number 2, they were used for transportation before the airplane became much more efficient and was able to transport more than a gun and a pilot (ie: biplanes). They were also used as status symbols in the 20s and 30s. That\'s why Nazi Germany loved them. It showed their power.
