Man my life is a pain in the ass. I\'m back on the road. Now in Vegas and off to Cali in about an hour. Oye. Off to Texas in a week and to NY a couple weeks after that.
My life is so F\'d up now. I am doing fine, but the wifey is knocked up, no job and due in August and we are now sitting with a construction loan waiting to be signed and building permits ready to be picked up.
ugh.. Do I still build? WIfe has been working odd jobs the past couple weeks. Less than she was making, but at least she is still working. I can\'t imagine she gets a real job until October. ANd our insurance has gone from about 100 a month to 900 a month with Cobra. oye...
I haven\'t really worked since mid December. I have only like 5 grand out right now to be paid. By far the lowest I\'ve had in a long long long time. Now though I am starting to work again and I look pretty well booked up till mid December so money will come in eventually.
So I am going to make pretty good money this year, but man it\'s still so nerve racking. The anticipation of building a house is killing me. Couple that with a prego wifey and my oh my this year is going to be stressful as all hell. Hopefully I won\'t deliver the baby in our living room though. oye...
Anyway, had a couple beers, sitting in an airpport, bored as hell, had to vent.
Cya.

I guess it depends whether or not you\'re truly worried about money.
Will it be easier to start building now, or after the Deuce is born?
-
Where you going to be in Texas?
-
Are you building the house yourself or are you hiring contractors to do it? Well I hope everything works out for you.
-
If you have some spare time in Los Angeles, PM me.
-
When is she due and how long till she can work again? That\'s a big factor.
-
rock on, bro. I\'m all stressed out too. just put an offer on a house, whaat a fucking runaround. Oh, and I failed in one of my life\'s pursuits: Never hiring a lawyer. D\'oh.

Well I just don\'t see having a baby in the house we are in. I just have too much shit. And the problem with waiting to build is it only gets more expensive. I\'m really not too worried about money. I will make more money this year than Lona is going to lose from her salary last year, but it\'s still scarey.

My parents just built their house so I have apretty solid list of subcontractors. I could never afford to pay a GC to build this house. They are wanting 140 /sqft. This house is almost 6,000 sq/ft under roof. That would be crazy. I should be able to build the house for about 320,000 which would give me a mortgage around 200 grand. Shouldn\'t be a problem.

I am at Gale Banks engineering in Azusa. Incredible facility. Gale Banks is a very very bright man. I\'m only here for one day and it is going to be a ball buster. Thanks for the offer though.

She has been working 5 days a week and looks like she\'ll be able to do it for a while. We are talking about incorporating ourselves so we can right more off and get better insurance. Definitley a possibility. She may start consulting and educating in the field she is in. I\'m sure she will be fine. This whole insurance thing though really sucks.

I didn\'t get a lawyer when I bought my house. We toyed with it though. THe owners were very cut and dry though and we just didn\'t think we\'d have any troubles. Good luck to ya.

Yep. Insurance fucking sucks.

Makes me realize how easy my life is right now.
Getting married soon BUT no kid, no house, low rent, no real bills to speak of.
I\'m sure that will all change in the next year or so.
I love you Vid.
-
I really can\'t complain either.
I mean, I have two kids, but my rent is low and the only real bill we have is my car payment which isn\'t all that much ($230 a month) and insurance ($275! Yikes). Still, I make enough money to support us and have extra left over, not to count whatever Tasha brings in.

wow. this thread REALLY makes me want to get older, haha.
*buys a lottery ticket*

YEah. They always say that no matter how much you make, you always have the same amount.
When I got out of college I made 18 grand. I swear I had just as much spending money as I do now and I make quite a bit more. It\'s just wierd.

WOW......no doubt..that is soo true..i never realized that until you mentioned it. i guess with every upgrade,..(raise on the job, car, house etc)...you tend to spend the same amount according to your income at that time.
-
Just found out that the owners of the house we want accepted our offer. Whee!! Now I will have a wonderful mortgage, plus 2 new cars and a baby on the way. Now I will be a broke-ass motherfucker.
-
I sold my house today! They cut me a big ass check that I took straight to the bank. Glad to see I\'m not the only one who worries like crazy about money. Financially i\'m doing better than I ever have, but that dosen\'t mean as much to me when I see how much will be going out the window starting in a few months.
Good luck to both of you. That would kill me too vid to have everything lined up on a new house like that. Did you buy that old house that needed work chizzy?
-
No we bought a smaller house we could move right in to. I\'m not gonna feel like renovating with a newborn baby in the house.
we bought this one:

Hey videoholic,
Don\'t know if ya remember me, its been like 2 years since i\'ve posted anything on this forum, your topic caught my eye, seeing as in your building a house. And a big one at that.
I can relate, I just finished building ours, me and my dad headed it. No doubt that is gonna be a pain in the ass! we had one hell of a time, from contractors screwing us over, by stealing money, supplies, not showing up. All in all we incurred about 30 grand in damages by messed up workmanship.
Know this, these people, no matter how good of a job they have done "on so and so\'s house" are NOT trustworthy at all, always, write up a contract, AND NEVER pay first, not a dime. They need you more than you need them. Electricians, Plumbers, Framers are a dime a dozen...
My dad now builds houses full time, and is making bank! (which means alot of money)...nothing like getting in their and getting your hands dirty, thats how you learn the most. In the end when your masterpiece is up, it\'ll be well worth it, here are some pics of thouse (as you can tell its ALMOST done, landscaping still needs to be done)
-7\'000 sq feet
-4 car garage
-7 Bedrooms
-6 1/2 baths
PICS IN NEXT POST, SCROLL DOWN

looks GR8 ROFL

lol, well I feel loved. Nothing like some sweet e-love from you freaks...
Anyways yeah, I just sorta dissapeared, grad\'d high school, almost done with my uni degree (criminology) I start training for the DEA next Jan. I got my conditionary acceptance letter just a weeks ago...
I guess for a while there I grew out of videogames, I felt kind of sad when I didn\'t even have the will to finish Metal Gear Solid 3..thats when I knew that I wasn\'t into it as much as I used to be.
But lately, i\'ve had a bit more time to myself, living away at uni and all. I re-bought myself the new ps2 (slim ones) and find myself playing and getting back into the scene a bit...
Nice to see you people are still around though.
lol, God this brings back so many memories, i registered here 6 years ago!!!! :O
anywhooo....
Why did piglet get dirty?...
cuz he played with pooh
HA, booyah suckas.

Not a problem with e-love here. There\'s enough from samwise to go around.
I too kinda grew out of video games. There are times I play them a lot but for the most part, not really. I got San Andreas last Christmas and I only did a few missions. I want to but not motivated enough.
-
Well its to be expected as we grow up..but im excited about the PS3....and probably will buy it on launch day...
Whats this samwise business, ive been out of the loop, But I read somewhere hes gone brokeback on us :s

I want to try and get atleast 2 or 3 consoles on launch day and keep one while selling the remaining on ebay to see how much money I can get.

Good Lord gr81!...you are on some ol\' mtv cribs type s**t!...beautiful home bro...that staircase is absolutely stunning! Congrats Chizz on your purchase as well...even tho it\'s an older home, that is an incredibly low price for it....enjoy!
-
Thats what my brother is doing, he\'s however trying to get like 8 and put em up on ebay, becuase you know what happened last launch (ps2) they were going for 600-800 a piece!
Just go to EB and pre order and pay in FULL when they are taking pre-orders, do it at 3-4 different locations, get 4-5..and then make a killing on launch day.
PS- theres forums named "post a pic of your kids"
what in the hell happened here?! lol......kids? marriage?
*dies
PSS- Thanks bro, yeah, my parents pride and joy they had been wanting to build one forever, finally they got it. They deserve it.

well, in Buffalo all there really are are old homes. And buffalo is cheap as hell. Should be an easy enough mortgage payment anyway. (and it doesn\'t have room for a studio, so that means I have an excuse to GTFO the hizzy....)
