Title: Anyone into shooters.

Just wondering if anyone was playing Black yet. So far it has been really fun. I\'m not very far into it yet but blowing the sh_t out of people and places is amazing.

Rumor has it Black is pretty easy. How does it stack up against other shooting games?

Obviously the destructable environments stand out.

Black is getting pretty decent reviews.  Criterion Games did the Burnout series too IIRC.  They really put a ton of effort into presentation & the entertainment factor.

i used to be

hell, jaym, blade and I used to tear up the Q2 and Q3 jailbreak scene back in the day.

...then i lost the will to play as the community turned to a bunch of whiney fucks.

so then i played 3wave CTF untill that got old too.  never got into the CS or UT2004 scene.

nothing had the "twitch" that Q3 did

This one has alot more to it than run in guns blazing. You have to use lots of cover and take your time.  I tried the other way and it\'s too easy to get killed.Mega enemies. Also the reality of the guns is really cool. Though the damn recoil spoils my aim from time to time.
Spent three hours on the second level last night and still didn\'t make it through. Apparently there are only eight levels but they seem to be large so far.

Recap, so far this game is really fun. The smoke effects and lighting are cool. Trying to shoot through the smoke at nothing more than a firearm flash is hard and fun at the same time. Some of the explosions you can create are really huge. the fact that you can only carry two guns at a time makes it much more interesting than having a huge arsenal at your demand. Also a limit of nine gernades makes it interesting.

im with mm..console shooters suck. Black looks alright in the screenshots, but 1) ps2 compared to pc..lol and 2) aiming with controllers..bleh

call of duty 2 on xbox360 was the first FPS on a console that was pretty fun..so i have my hopes up that the next gen FPS\'s wont be as craptacular
