Man, the first page took all of a minute and a half to read and they have it budgeted for 8 minutes.
Yawn...
Why oh why did I get cought doing 24 in a school zone!!! The horror!!!
-
.... ok?
-
Maybe you shouldn\'t speed :p
-
actually i meant traffic school.
The page I\'m on now is 15 minutes long. It honestly takes maybe 45 seconds to read.
Yawn.
-
So you just read it and that\'s it? And a test at the end?
-
haha i was a little confused at the traffic "court" thing, but i understand now, so i will reply. here, the speed limit in school zones IS 25...what\'s it there?
-
They have to make it 4 hours.
So they give you about 15 pages to read and they ahve it timed. You can\'t go on until the time is up.
They\'ll ask you a couple questions at the end of each page that are bogus.
So really you just open the page, browse in another window and then come back 10 minutes later.
It\'s better than sitting in a class.
School zone is 15.
I thought I was out of the zone. I was stopped at a light and just didn\'t realize I was still in it.
I pushed the gas and went 25. It\'s pretty damn hard to push the gas at an intersection and go only 15.
-
4 Hours, man you Floridians have it easy, must be all the old folks there, its 6 hours here in Texas, thats a big yawn fest, I\'ve done the class and the video, and I\'d much rather sit through the video again than sit through some dumbass class.
-
Suuuuure. sure.

Crazy speeders. You would think someone with child would know better....

Nah, no worries, that\'s about 15 over, which is what most people do here. The only way you get a ticket here for doing under 15 over (ugh, awkward) is to have pissed off a cop, or be really unlucky. Even photo-radar here is set with a 15 kph (~10 mph) grace.
Oh yeah... that \'online court\' thing is what was so confusing. I was trying to figure out how the heck that woulda worked...

Or you could just read my last post and see that you are right.
I haven\'t read a thing. I am on module 12 of 20. THis one is on DUIs and you have to sit for 20 minutes.
-
I copied your post and pasted it into my response...
...and if you have to explain it, it\'s not funny. ;]

I don\'t blame Unicron for not understanding. I dont\' think there are cars on his little island :p

I hate those timed pages. They\'re so f^ing annoying. It\'s worse when the test pages are timed. They torture you by MAKING you sit at the computer for hours when you could actually take the test in like 15 minutes.
There was one funny quote though from the reading section of the online traffic school I had to take. It was "Just sit back and watch with nonchalant humor as other drivers try to kill themselves"...
\'Twas about safe driving.
-
Welp I just wizzed through the 40 question final in maybe 3 minutes and got 88%. Not bad considering I didn\'t read a darn thing and a lot of the questions had statistics in them. I just guessed on at least ten of the questions.
ANyway. Such a joke... But I\'m done.. Now I just need to keep my eye out for cops better when I speed.
-
buy one of those radar things for your car
-
False centz of security.
-
well its better than no sense of security at all, right?

Will you help me here to understand how this "online" driving school works?
-
theres probably a website or something he logs into that keeps track of how much time he has been on (because theres a requirement)..it forces him to read a certain page to learn how to drive correctly and it stays on the screen for 15 minutes so he fills his requirement..he finishes the pages in 2 minutes so he has to sit 12 minutes doing jack shit waiting for the thing to end so he can go to the next page or whatever he has to read.
im assuming
-
Unicron, it was just an online test to see if he still knows the rules of the road and keeps common sense when driving. He got, what, a speeding ticket? And they made him take the test to make sure he still deserved his license.
Which he does.
88 percent of the time, apparently.

Should be noted that not all states support this. I know Kentucky decided to axe their online traffic school and now require you to show up at a classroom for six hours.
-
I took the class once in Jersey. It was worth it. Lost some points on my license, cut my insurance and reinforced some of the basics.
Pretty well worth it for one Saturday morning\'s time.

just read a few posts. It\'s been explained 4 times now.
And 88% is not bad for not reading it. do you happen to know how much alcohol students purchase each year? 5.5 million, 250 million, 5.5 billion, 950 million?
There are a lot of stupid statistics like this that have nothing to do with driving on the test.
The test also had a random seed and 3 of the questions were asked twice.
