Title: Black. White.
Post by: Halberto on March 08, 2006, 08:16:19 PM
I was really looking forward to this show, but it became obvious after hearing the intro song by ice cube that it was skewed. The situations they put them in were different and some of the people they highlighted were insane.

i watch FX alot between the random movies, that 70\'s show, and spin city, and the damn preview was on ALL THE TIME i got f-in tired of it. And the song is gay as balls. Just another waste of an hour er however long the episodes are IMO.

It was a neat idea though. It would be fun to try, but they\'d have to transplant you into a new life, because if I showed up at work as a black guy tomorrow, it\'d be more like "what the hell happened to you?" than it would be "hey look a black guy."

I\'d be more curious to see if the people started acting out in ways that they thought black/white people acted.

The funniest thing I saw was on a commercial where the white couple met up after having just become black.

They looked totally different and honestly, at least the dude was ugly as hell, but they had to act like it was hot since they didn\'t want to be offensive.

The woman was like "I like black, visually. It has a kind of warmth."

But the daughter was cool. She came in, saw her dad, and was like "Ahhhhhhhh!!!"

Heh.

I wondered if they would begin acting out preconceived notions of how they feel black people behave. That\'d be interesting to see...

it would have been funnier as a comedy. Like if the teenager started stealing cars after "becoming black", and the Black dude realized the difference between hot white chicks & ugly white chicks after becoming white....

Meh... Chappele already addressed that....

Sort of hard to make a show about this when Chappelle made a comedy about it.....

the show was a little better than i thought. not mind-blowing either. The black dude generalizes too much and thinks like..his one encounter as a white person means that what its always like, but when the white guy had his one encounter as a black guy and didnt see a deference in the way people treated him then the black guy says he hasnt experienced enough.

The white mom is just stupid..and the white dad says the N word every time, lol.

pretty hilarious. I only watched the show two er three times whenever i happened to pass the show. Checked out IMDb.com and found this thread:

These Are Actors! This Show Is FAKE!!!!

Bruno is not Carmen\'s husband nor Rose\'s dad-Now Fox\'s explanation is that he\'s Carmen\'s "boyfriend", which is dubious as well. Bruno is an actor, not a "school teacher" who\'s acting credits on imdb date back to the 1980s! Rose was the star of a Disney Channel show \'Movie Surfers\' and even has an official page on Disney: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/moviesurfers/

Bruno the "teacher"\'s film credits http://uk.imdb.com/name/nm0545969/
What a fraud!
