Subject: heavy ass subwoofer
Objective: move to basement
Scenario: Hoisted on shoulder, ok. Carry downstairs, ok. Slowly put on floor, ok. Move sub 6" while on floor using back instead of legs, not ok.
Happened Saturday evening, been on the sofa the rest of the weekend. Thought I could go to work on Monday but had to leave at 1pm due to the pain. Survived Tues & Wed with regular doses of Motrin.
Sleeping, sitting, standing up all hurts. I really feel like an old man, this sucks. :gives:
Anyone else throw their\'s out?

argh, i\'d hate to be old ;) i\'ve never done anything to my back. Most damage i\'ve ever done was nearly liquify a muscle.
Heavy wieght, Lots of reps = bad bad move.

You should\'ve been workin\' those deadlifts, man. ;)
That sucks though. :/
Heavy wieght, Lots of reps = bad bad move.
Any weight with lots of reps is lame.
-
eh, no.. Small wieghts high reps = body fat loss, Big wieghts low reps = muscle building.
-
Since you threw your back out, you are officially the newest old fart on the board :p Hope you feel better though :)

I know everybody is going to tell you use yer legs not the back.
ia am not trying to rub it in, yes thats a pain that truly bites the big one. I did it once deliveringgas cylinders to a customer. And i got friggin mad cause i had to go back to the same customer to make him happy. Any way i jumped up on the lift gate, pulled up on the door.It only opened half way,and you could hear it when my back blew.So rest up strenghen your back. And use your legs.
