So until they start to break, you have a pretty cushy job?

What exactly is your job? Sounds like a career I might want to get into :p

systems administration

basically, i\'m responsible for a 280+ server Citrix (terminal services) environment covering internal operations and several clients.

anything from domain account work, to exchange, to server builds, to software proof of concepts.

but my average day consists of making sure nothing broke overnight, then if nothing is, proceeding to fuck off the remainder of the day

but don\'t let me glorify it, the golden days of IT work are long gone

Does that make you much dough? That sounds like an interesting job.

Our two network admins seem to have it cushy.  They\'re always browsing the net or talking to the girl at the front desk.

If I worked harder in college I coulda had that job, but I\'m too much of a lazy bastard.  Now I work harder than the average admin and they have it easy.  lollerhorse
