This went down to $20 a couple weeks ago so I grabbed it, great game so far.
I think I found a bug however :( It\'s the Challenge of Atlas stage. I can\'t pull the lever with the big weight on it. I checked all the Gamefaqs but no clues as to why it won\'t let me pull it.
Any advice?

i was thinking of getting this since the price went down.
Is it like prince of persia? cuz honestly..i sucked @ss at that game, and even though it was fun..i couldnt get anywhere and got sick of it. So i think ill skip it if its the same difficulty.
maybe ill get shadow of rome..in the mood of buying something. Isnt there another newer rome kind of game?

I just got God of War yesterday under new reduced price. It is pretty cool. It reminds me of Devil may Cry, only better. But, I\'m not expert on that kind of game.

You couldn\'t edit the titles in the old vB version either ;)

Actually you could, and upon further inspection you can in this version too.
Once you click edit in a thread you created, click the "Go Advanced" button. You can edit thread titles and give a reason to boot.

Weird. The old version wouldn\'t let me edit my thread titles. I botched a few of my thread titles and tried to rename them but had to PM a mod to do it for me.

heh heh yea...i at least let kratos get his freak on at least twice in that scene..:fro:...even tho you don\'t see it...GOW...imo took the title away from dante...the game should be one of the candidates for game of the year, and had graphics that were equal to some of the higher end xbox games....it throws you right into the action as soon as you fire it up, and that 1st boss (the serpent) was just intense on an epic level....excellent game....:fro:

Maybe I haven\'t gotten to that scene yet. I know there\'s the part where he arrives at Athens with two nude chicks in his cabin, but you can\'t do anything at that point. Then there\'s the cutscene with the Oracle wearing a see-through dress with a thong and no bra, but of course there\'s no action to be taken... I\'m a little confused.

there\'s actually a mini game you can trigger by jumping on the bed with those two chicks, i didn\'t find out about it until later. i can\'t remember exactly but i know when you jump on the bed with them you have to either press triangle or square...then he kinda grabs them and camera veers off to the right....causing you to not see him dig \'em out...

yea cored what\'s your prob? if you were a true perv like the rest of us you would have immediately jumped on the bed, triggering the mini-game.
U get a buncha red orbs per orgasm. A lot the first time, 5 each time thereafter

Hint: Before you enter a thread...while you\'re still on the outside...double-click next to the text of the thread title and it\'ll open up a box around the text and you can edit it without ever having to enter the thread. Works like magic (new to this version of VB).

Played this game before, liked it a lot, and just bought it with hte price drop. Course, I gotta spring for a new optical cable to hook up my PS2 properly, so it\'s going to cost me to play, but I needed the cable anyways.
This game really is impressive.

got this game today..
amazing is all i can say and im only on the second part of the first stage.
im just horrible at deciding whether to upgrade medusa, the blades, poseidon\'s rage, etc...

Upgrade the blades to level 2 first, then poseidon\'s rage to max.

im going to finish this game too damn quickly. 3rd day of having it and im already in hades (14th level)..guess theres like 7 more left.
Worth the buy i guess since its the best game iv played on ps2..but probably couldve rented it instead.

the boss is impossible. What sucks is they make u do a bunch of sh*t with no saving points near the end, so even though i cant pass this last last part up, i have to complete it now. If i shut it off i have to do the WHOLE ending over again..which i dont want to do.

after about 20 times and 5 times of taunting me with "do you want it on easy mode?"..i gave up and beat him in like 2 seconds,lol. Im not too pissed off just because i did everything i could. Id kick the crap out of him and then hed get 3 of those fireball/backhand followed with his wing claw hits that u cant block if u get hit by his hand.
Its the same problem with those 10 mini games..as far as i know you have to do all 10 at one time..even after that i dont see where u would save it unless it comes up for you.

There was an interesting interview in EGM last month with the developer of \'God of War\' (believe it was the product director). He basically laughed at your weak sauce skills. :D
I do agree tho\', I remember the same non-sense in \'Rygar\' for the PS2. I got to the last boss in one sitting and never beat the damn thing. Friggin\' stupid. Bosses with multi-forms went out with Ninja Gaiden (NES).
