A long time ago someone suggested a very very valuable site full of old PC games to download like Jazz Jackrabbit, the original Duke Nukem etc.
I forgot which was the site.
Can someone repost the site?
The thread in which it was posted is abscent

..
PIRACY!
Actually, google "Abandonware".
-
I think they are waaaay too old to be actually able to find them anywhere.
I doubt they sell them anymore.
And I am very very nostalgic
Thanks though :)
-
This is actually a bit of a grey area, some people regard abandonware as legal, and some poeple do not. There are plenty of sites out there that have the games though.
-
try ebay (or google)
-
There\'s no need to fear... Underdog is here! *cough*
Try Google.
-
^ what he said. They don\'t release games that are still being sold.
-
no need to link to it, soully
-
no need to remove the link mm.

It doesnt exist anymore unfortunately.
Anyway I searched for abandonware and found what I was looking for thanks to LIC
Ah.....the good old days of gaming :)

I want to play some old games like X-COM: UFO Defense, or Wasteland, but I don\'t know if they would work on my modern PC. Don\'t you have to install something to slow down the processor to get some of these programs to run correctly?
-
I dont know really. Usually I just change the compatibility mode to win95 in order to make the game playable

dosbox
-
Oh riiiight!Forgot all about that

Underdogs and sites like abandonia aren\'t illegal. They aren\'t piracy either. Same reasons mame roms are legal. It\'s sort of like public domain now because no comapny owns the liscense to distribute the software anymore.
Have you ever seen those 99cent dvds at places like target? Those are actually public domain...

Remeber Syndicate? Bullfrog was awesome in it\'s day.
*FatalXception realizes he\'s indulging in nostalgia*
