Post by: MPTheory on April 06, 2006, 11:48:35 AM: some may think that, but I can assure you, I started this story quite some time before I ever knew of Hellboy\'s existance. Im not sure if it was before or after the movie came out, but I posted an early drawing of this character some years back.

I\'ve tried to do what I can to make sure he looks as far from him as possible, but this is the look I have envisioned and I plan on keeping him that way.

If at that point it still feels too "hellboyish" Ill accept it. There are many other characters involved in the story so Im hoping the dynamics of the storyline with the addition of other characters might change some of your minds.

In all fairness, most of you don\'t even like comics so I may be asking the wrong crowd for a critique. I read my first hellboy comic after the bashing and I really don\'t see the similarities. Other than the fact that he\'s a color other than fleshtone and he has horns. (I could probably list 20 pages worth of demons with horns with colors other than human flesh.)

is it EXACTLY like it? no..or else MP wouldnt be saying that we\'re wrong. But..you get the idea. Not sure if the comics are the same as the movie, but hellboy\'s horns are important so theres a bit more detail then 2 little nubs.

I only watched the movie once, so i cant remember what happened when they grew out. So he buffed them down to size. I had no idea what they were before i saw the movie..i thought they were goggles that didnt move,lol.

Just look at the character as a whole to see the general similarities. Like i said..its not exactly like it.

The fact 8 people saw the similarities and one found it with another comic character noones heard of, its a problem. I think making a character would be the best part of making a comic..the rest is tedious.

OK, maybe not aquaman, but Flash sure looks like spidey.
