If you are in the US, you have to go into the store, but if you are in Canada, you can buy a pre-order now, at Toys \'r Us dot ca (http://www.toysrus.ca). It\'s a $50 dollar deposit, and although further details will come out after E3, probably first come first serve. EB and other game outlets seem to be waiting for firmer info, and will start taking orders after E3.

they just closed up the only Toys-R-us I have within a 40 mile range.
I wonder if I can order a canadian PS3
Heck their not guarenteeing anything till 12-31-2006 and can only be shipped in Canada

i don\'t think i\'ll be buying any of the first wave of ps3\'s...hell the price alone is gonna keep me away for awhile...
-
not me. I must have one.
I don\'t spend much money on crazy crap so I allow my self these treats.
Plus I\'m 37 with a rock solid job, and my wife has a real good job too so we do alright in our middle ages

i\'m in the same exact position you are in,..except i\'m 35..:p...and i just can\'t see myself payin\' 499 for a console...if i were to get one,..it would probably be the second batch of ps3\'s and there would definitely have to be some games that would peak my interest...

I\'ll probably pre-order one or two.. and ebay them. Maybe keep one if there are any launch games worth owning.

Ditto. I want to know a definite price though before I set money aside to do this.

It\'s really a no-lose situation. Put your 50 down now, get in close to the front of the line. When price/details are announced get a refund or pay it up.
Course, I\'m sure the line\'s been building fast.. this is the first retailer to take preorders afterall.

Which is why I\'m waiting for EB games. I want a release date too. If I preorder at my college and I\'m home, I gotta 4 hour ride both ways to pick these puppies up or visa versa. And that\'s not counting the time I have to wait.

Waiting on price before pre-ordering.

i want the sob shipped to me. no more waiting in lines for videogames

Agree\'d. I am not as young as I use to be and the thrill of standing in a line to get one has faded. I may still get one, but I can\'t say I am exactly excited.
