i can see why it would be fun as it\'s a kind of a sport.  But I don\'t understand how it could be that part of fun where the audiences were laughing hysterically...

how is that a sport? all they did was get a crap load of bottles and launch a dude. Maybe if there was a competition for how far someone goes, but all u need is a bunch of bottles and a midget.

The crowd is laughing because 1) Japanese people got some weird ass entertainment on tv and 2) the dudes just helplessly flying,lol. Its a science experiment of bottle rocket-ing, attached to a person.

heh, i don\'t know how to explain it.  But that to me, it kind of consider a sport as it looks like it could be fun to play.  Think of it biking, the speed and the fresh air and this, you get to fly in midair for a bit...

maybe if i can understand what they were saying in japanese, then i might understand why they are laughing.  because the whole time i watch the video, i wasn\'t laughing...and i was thinking, wow, that looks like it could be a fun way to past time for a while.  I can understand why they are clapping, but not really why they are laughing that hard...a little too hard though...
