Paraphrase:

Sony has invested much more then it ever has before into the success of the PS3.  Because many of it\'s components come from Sony itself, the whole company will feel the hit of startup and production.  Their business model is such that there is little room for error, they must first build and then quickly mass produce and move millions of units to make the PS3 a success.  If it works for them, however, the future would be bright, as they would have incoming sattelite revenue from the PS3 that would more than make up for it.

On paper, they\'re set to be overshadowed by Nintendo.  It\'s going to come down to killer software to take the spotlight off what Nintendo is doing with Wii.

I think Sony will have an impressive share of killer up games too.

 I only hope for Nintendo that Wii doesnt end up feeling like a GC with a different controller.

 I think it will be harder for Wii to be the DS of the consoles since the technological differences between Wii\'s performance and PS3\'s are much much noticable. Also the DS isnt all that different from PSP. Not as much as Wii compared to PS3 or 360. It uses the same control layout PLUS a dual screen and a touchscreen that makes the experience more interesting thus its easier to be accepted by gamers. No need to spend time to get used to something completely different.
 But unlike the DS, Wii offers a completely different gameplay. There is no similarity at all. It will be interesting to see how developers will exploit this feature creatively, and become important enough to make gamers want to try something different and welcome it.

They might want to get their affairs in order because what I saw today is not a good look.
