This could be good and bad... I hope developers don\'t ignore the motion controller now :(

Neat. Notice the analog joystick placement matches that of the DualShock!

This pad supposedly retains the motion sensitivity of the remote and was designed specifically for lazy developers to keep them porting games to Wii.

It is also a great candidate for playing SNES games on the virtual console. The remote, held sideways, would probably suffice for NES games on its own...

But if its intended for classic games, the dpad is the main control.

We\'ll have to see how that one pans out. All we have so far is that pic.

that does reminds me of snes controller added with two analog sticks from PS controller.

I don\'t know about you guys, but SNES controller is among the most confortable controllers I ever used.  Not to mention its lighter than PS controller.

How many variations could you seriously make of a controller? Its gotta conform to the hand with button placements for the fingers. A little bit of "copying" is inevitable. Besides, I\'d rather have as little variation between controllers or buttons as possible to make it a helluva lot easier for me to play on different console controllers. I dunno about you guys but it\'d drive me crazy learning a whole new controller everytime I pick up a game on a different console.

Congratulations. But what about the 12 year old gamers who can\'t even form an intelligent conversation.

if i\'m reading this right, this is exactly why i criticized the wii controller, if this is a conventional controller that will play gamecube games, then i commend nintendo for not making that wand controller the "only" comtroller for the wii...

If they ship these with the system, then no dev will bother coming up with unique games for the motion controller, unless wii games are forced to use the new controller.  People talk about ports, but that can\'t be that much of an issue, most 360 and PS3 games aren\'t going to be easy ports, since the graphical limitations are so stringent on wii.
