Hi dudes. Since Tuesday or Wednesday I\'m having problems with my PC clock. It goes forward in time and it is always wrong. I update the clock and after 2 hours or so, it\'s already 15 minutes ahead, or more.
Do you know what\'s the matter? I havent installed anything strange on the comp, nor the PC shuts down frequently (I mean that it cannot be a battery problem).
Can you help me?
-
have you tried synching with an online clock? I have mine synchronized with time.windows.com. Every time I connect to the net, it synchronizes it with their clock
edit//
it says it updates 1 a week, but I\'ve noticed mine is accurate all the time, whereas before, it would drift off after a day or 2

yes I sync it with online servers and it goes wrong again after 15 minutes
-
your BIOS needs a new battery
Thank you soulgrind!

But... i dont turn off the comp and the time goes wrong anyway... I mean, doesnt the bios take the energy from outside when the pc is on?
-
Ah, I love how it syncs automatically for me :) Plus I don\'t know how to change the battery for the BIOS on my laptop.

Nope if your BIOS battery is going bad it doesn\'t matter if you turn it off or not it will still get screwy.

^ what he said, windows syncs with the bios clock.. Which in turn needs a decent battery to keep time.. Change it.
