Cool pics, events, and environments. Love the gore.

Killzone was not realtime. The developers said themselves it was rendered at a higher framerate than they could achieve realtime.

It was also running on earlly PS3 hardware that was not 3.2ghz.
So Riku, do you think the Killzon demo looks better or worst then gears of war? Because thats my whole point, if Killzone looks only as good as gears of war then it is possible to render those graphics eventually at least 30fps

They said it was just pre-rendered entirely. A better statement would be that the pre-rendered Killzone vid may, in fact, be achieveable. Discussing whether it was real-time or not at this point is silly.

Killzone was CGI. The developers have stated it by themselves at their forum. But GOW could be an indication that its achievable, and they are optimistic that they can reach that quality
Anyways I downloaded some gameplay videos from IGN and I was dissapointed by the framerate and the game didnt look as detailed although it still was.
The game was below 30fps almost all the time whenever there was action going on. The framerate annoyied me just by watching it. It reminded of the times when people had only dial up modems and playied Quake with tons of lag.

The killzone video was created by Blur and has nothing to do with the real game.

i\'m still highly impressed with this game...it\'s true when you see it in motion you kinda can\'t really see the details as in the pics, but the game still looks good...again this is the only game for the 360 that has my interest...

i\'m mostly survival horror/adventure type player and i like a few sports games..boxing, football & basketball...*misses the 2k series of football* :(...alot of the 1st person games look interesting, but i just can\'t stand fps...it\'d be nice if they had the option to switch between 1st & 3rd person view...some games have implemented that,..suffering, the thing...but i guess doin that would take away from the core game....
