Title: atdmt.com and 2o7.net tracking cookies
Post by: Titan on June 09, 2006, 05:56:41 PM
My computer gets no spyware except from these two companies. I did some research but all these sites want me to download their spyware removal software which I don\'t feel comfortable doing from downloading MORE spyware removal software. I have adaware and it does a fine job. Last thing I need is more crap. But apparently, these two cookies take my personal information. I keep removing them (and have for months) using Adaware. I\'m kinda sick of doing it. Is there a way I can block these two cookies?

Nah, haven\'t used Spybot. If you recommend it, that\'s good enough for me.....unless you work for a spyware company and want to know what porn sites I\'ve been visiting :shy:

Spybot S&D is a good program. Just make sure that you update it whenever you use it. Also, when you go to install the program, don\'t install TeaTimer (I think that\'s what it\'s called). TeaTimer is freaking annoying and causes more irritation than helpfulness. Install everything else that comes with it though, like the IE add-on.

I don\'t use IE. What would I need the addon for?

I was just suggesting it if you use IE. IE sucks. Since you don\'t use Internet Explorer, you don\'t need to install any of the extras. Just use the regular program. :thumb:

I use Camino or Safari on OS X. When I\'m on Windows, I use Firefox.

is it adding shit to your registry, or is it just tracking cookies?

I used to get TC\'s from these all the time, I just added them to the blocked cookies list and I don\'t get stuff from them anymore
