Ok, so I live in a apt. building where there is no way I can have a drum set here. So I\'ve been looking at getting an electronic set just to have something to practice on and not piss off the whole neighborhood.
I was looking at some entry level sets... Like 500-800 bucks... Then I found this..

Thats seriously about a $4,000 set... and the bidding as I type this is at like $100.
Now it doesnt say anything about a reserve, so is there no reserve?
Anyways, lemme know what you think... If you guys think this is for real I\'m all over it.

Id do it..my friend got one and its pretty addicting. May not completely feel like a real set but its still fun..plus all the sounds it can make/already set beats are cool.

bidding on ebay is only in the last minute. Don\'t sit there and make the bid go up. Just be there in the last minute and try to steal the item then.

Don\'t bid on this item. A friend of mine is piecing together a V-Drum set by buying used parts here and there. I asked him about this ebay auction and he replied:
This is a scam. For some reason eBay account hijackers have discovered V-drums as a good scam item. I have reported over 50 fraudulent V-drum listings like this one. What happens is a scammer hijacks somebody\'s eBay account telling them to "contact me via email, not thru eBay" or "details at dumbshit@yahoo.com (dumbshit@yahoo.com)" and when you e-mail them they tell you you can get a better deal if you send them cash via Western Union or some such...then it\'s outside of eBay and there\'s no way you can get your money back. This set is worth $5,000 to $6,000. If you look at the account\'s other items for sale you see a bunch of other normally high dollar (and frequently scam-worthy) items like Powerbooks, sewing machines, Nautilus workout gear...I think I saw a Segway on there. Also you see the same drum kit listed two or three times. Then not only is the buyer hosed, the actual owner of the account gets suspended from eBay. It\'s a bitch. Check it...the listing says "Details at route233@aol.com (route233@aol.com)" but when you cursor-hover over the "@aol.com" part (the only part actually underlined) the mailto is moshsyn@aol.com (moshsyn@aol.com). Sneaky.

Thats exactly what it was buddy.
I emailed him and he asked for a western union moneygram. When I told him I would only use Paypal he said no deal.
It was a scam.

There are a lot of scams on eBay. You gotta watch out. I had the same thing happen to me after I bid on this one item and the guy wanted me to pay via Western Union even though the auction said PayPal. I basically said f^ck off and that was that. I\'ve received like 7 or 8 scam messages from fake eBay e-mails as well. You have to watch out for these morons.

That auction is gone.
And the fake EBay and Paypal emails are getting so old. They like very real though. I have to imagine many people get fooled.

I actually did get fooled a while ago when I got my first one because I had like 4 tabs open and was changing all my preferences in eBay. Then I opened the spoof e-mail and entered in all this crap and after hitting submit, I realized what I had done. I shut off the computer and went right to the bank to cancel that credit card and get a new one. The page that comes up is an EXACT replica of the eBay preferences page for credit cards (with an added little extra that I should\'ve known was complete BS). I should\'ve been paying more attention, but I was doing a lot of things at once. It\'s pretty obvious that it isn\'t an eBay page if you just look at the address bar.

I got learnt only 1 time after over a hundred ebay dealings. f*cker was selling halo pc for $35 brand new within the first week of release. I bit, paid paypal, and he bailed.
Now I check to see if the seller is selling other items at the same time. Depending on how much stuff their selling, and the frequency of their ebay activity you can spot a scammer a mile away

Yeah...I don\'t bid on things when the member has either horrible feedback or almost none at all. I just sold my road bike for 500 bucks and the winning bidder had no track record so I was a little worried. But he made an instant payment so it\'s all good. Now that money is...going to fall semester. :(
