I read about it in the paper the other day, I thought it was bullshit.

I didn\'t realise stallone was 60 either, he looks a lot better for his age than arnie does.

Not detracting from the fact that the film will probably be a pile of wank though (once you\'ve seen one stallone flick, you\'ve seen them all).

I just found out he\'s doing another rambo film as well, I guess he\'s trying to rake in a few extra bob before he collectsw his bus pass.

Geez I didn\'t know he was 60 either.

To look like that at 60 yrs old is pretty remarkable and yeah he does look better than Arnie.

Only 3-4 years ago he looked pretty damn buff in T3. o_0 And he was like 55 in that movie. Now he\'s almost 60. He still works out whenever he can. He even has equipment flown into him if the area he\'s in doesn\'t have a gym. WTF are you guys talking about?

people are just living longer, nice to see the progress we\'re making steroid-wi.... I mean health-wise.  Heard something on the radio that many of the kids walking around today will live to 120 and beyond.

As much as I want to make fun of this movie, I think I\'ll end up liking it.  Always a sucker for a Rocky film.

He hasn\'t taken them since he was competing...which was a long ass time ago.

Considering the ridiculous rate of obesity here, I highly doubt it.

If it makes your 20s-60s longer, great. But if ur body is like 90 for a long time than screw that.

O yea..the movie\'s going to be pretty bad. Rambo will be 50 times worse

Look what Pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer were able to accomplish in 10-20 years.  Now imagine what will be available in 100+ years from now.  (24/7 Viagara ftw)  BS question because we can\'t imagine that.  In 1906 no one would have a clue what an internet was, commercial airliners, an ipod, etc...

Watch some wonder drug come out that turns fat into pimp juice that loves up on your organs to make them last longer.  Just ask this Scientician.

tru no doubt...just look at what merck is goin\' thru with that vioxx lawsuit...the news stated that merck still had like 13,000 lawsuits to be heard concerning vioxx, and they have already been puttin out millions for the cases that have been heard already. the problem with some of these wonder drugs that these big companies put out is that 5 - 10 yrs later these drugs have some kind of unseen fatal side-effect....

back on topic...yea i like stallone but i grew tired of the rocky joints after the third one...you kinda know how all of the rocky movies end up....rocky gets his ass whooped early on by *insert bad guy here*..then as the rocky theme kicks in, he turns around and beats the s**t out of said bad guy...the end...

Sly has never struck me as a douche. I\'ve always generally liked him.

Like i said tho, i think this movie won\'t be the greatest but eh...theres always a chance.

I\'m of the same line of thinking as you, I don\'t think he\'s a wanker, and I don\'t think he\'s a dumb fuck either, like most of the papers would have you believe.

I actually think he\'s quite a likable person, he comes across in interviews as easy going, witty, friendly & approachable, which is a rare commodity in the acting world.

It\'s just that he has a long trail of bullshit formulaic
underdog-hero-prevails-against-all-the-odds movies behind him.

With these latest 2 little gems, it doesn\'t look like it\'s going to stop now either.

as far as action celebs go,..this is my order..

1. arnold...predator & terminator 1 & 2 were classics.

2.steven seagal...laugh all you want but he made some decent action joints back in tha day and still puts out decent flicks staight to dvd.

3. jet-li...i liked alot of his early japanese action flicks as a matter of fact most of his early stuff was great,...some of his american films became waay watered down with the commercialism..i did hear that movie he starred with morgan freeman was good tho..*forgot the name*

4. stallone...he\'s always made consistent and decent action flicks. i always enjoyed most of his flicks...tho like i stated earlier i started gettin tired of rocky after the third one..good actor tho..

5. van-dam....most of his films were just mediorce to me...at the height of his fame, everybody used to talk about him vs steven seagal, but that movie never became realized,...he\'s decent i guess, but all he really ever had was just kicks in his arsenal...

For current ones here\'s my list:

1) The Rock: has the look, the body, the charisma.  Truly the next "ahnuld" if there is to be one.

2) Jason Statham: Best acting skills of the action stars.  Has that cold steel stare and can move as well as he acts.  Should have played Hitman.

3) Vin Diesel: Has the name, the look, but he isn\'t much of a box office draw.   If he wants to be legendary, he needs to find a character that suits him like Terminator did Arnie. Women LOVE this guy though.  It doesn\'t matter what type of woman, they all just wanna rape his ass.

The kung fu scene seems to be dying out despite a resurgence of it in the mid-to-late 90s.

I predict that in 20-30 years, the corporations will release new food additives that perfectly replicate the taste and consistency of fatty foods without any of the negative health effects.  Sort of like Olestra, but without the anal leakaage.

These additives will gradually be incorporated into all the processed foods and fast food products.  Then all the lard asses in the United States will start losing weight through no effort of their own.

Good point Cored.  This article is very enlightening on the subject:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/chronicle/archive/2004/02/18/FDGS24VKMH1.DTL

After Japanese scientists found a stable way to mix fructose and corn syrup the obesity levels of the US started to skyrocket.  It was so cheap to make using readily available materials that manufacturers quickly put the the mixture into their products as soon as they could.  Now you can\'t buy anything sugary without it having high fructose corn syrup.

New products like Splenda help curb this problem but we still have a ways to go.

Yeah but supposedly he works out a lot less since he took office. That\'s to be expected though.
