Title: Blockbuster Late Fees
Post by: Viper_Fujax on July 24, 2006, 03:15:57 PM
I couldnt really find a straight-foreward answer..they were all corporate bullshit and didnt get straight to the point.

I rented ncaa for 360, and i have a day off of work the day the game is due back at 12 noon. If i return it the next day, or even the night the game is due (after the 12 noon deadline), do i pay a late fee?

It kind of sounded like you dont pay a fee until 7 late days, then you pay for the whole game.

it varies store by store, as not all have the "no late fees" policy.

you could always call them and ask, ya know.

From what I gather, after 7 days they charge your credit card for the movie/game. Then if you return it after that they refund you.

Beware the "Restocking fee" that they only charge you if the game is late.  Not sure how long before that fee applies.

hate being lazy..guess ill call tomorrow.

NCAA is pretty fun..definitly not buying it though since madden is out aug. 22nd. Theres a mini game where u have 2 minutes to do option plays (lateral/dont lateral/run with the fullback options) and rack up as many points as you can..my brother and i just played 2 hours of it,lol..same general play. Has the usual problem where veteran is a little too easy and pro gets really gay.

Also rented chromehounds but i havent tried it. Looks alright but the way stuff disappears after it blows up seems programmed really lazily.

like others have stated as far as late fees go, it does vary from each store, but i always get some message on my phone letting me know when they are due, and that i would have to pay for them if they are not in by that date.

I thought blockbuster did away with late fees?  Gamefly & Netflix FTW (if you rent a lot)

games would never be returned if there wasnt some kind of late fee. Was just a marketing ploy, that obviously had issues. I dont think there was one person that didnt say "how can they have no late fees."

Iv still never called them, lol. Not too worried about it. Cant really start anything like a season when you rent a game, and iv already played it enough. On to madden in august.

Gamefly is pretty good, but it\'s a lot like netflix in that if you don\'t return and get new movies at least enough to cover the subscription fee (I consider how much each dvd costs at Hollywood video or Blockbuster to rent as a nice acceptable measure), then you\'re wasting your time.  So if you happen to grab 1 game in a month, you just end up wasting a bunch of money.
