Title: Most stolen vehicles in the United States

This article is interesting because it includes several different lists, compiled with different methodologies.  I like the CCC list because it disregards total volume of cars stolen, and represents instead the percentage of that model year affected by complete losses to theft.  If you own a car that is not sold in large volumes, this might tell you the liklihood that your car will be stolen.

Those of you who own Integras... best of luck to ya!  :)

i\'m suprised the dodge ram 1500 pickup isn\'t on there a million times.  i love that truck to death, but it is one of the easiest to break into.

Any car is easy to break into if you have a brick.

well, the numbers are skewed by the total amount of cars available to steal.

1. Honda Civic
2. Toyota Camry
3. Honda Accord

are like the top 3 cars sold in the US

Speaking of a country where the life-level is over most of the countries in the world... how the hell can Honda and Toyota be the best sellers?

Yeah, the numbers are skewed for the NICB list, but the CCC list is better. It\'s based on percentage stolen of the total sold in the United States. That is a lot more useful. How often do you see a BMW M Roadster? Even here in Los Angeles, the land of rare and exotic cars, that one is rather rare.

Here is the rest of the top 25 on the CCC list:

Dodge is the only american car company that can compete in design anymore.  But Toyota and Honda are some of the best sellers in Michigan.  Curse that!

Maybe because they make high quality, reliable, affordable cars???  Just a theory.

You act as if we all live in palaces and drive gold plated Jaguars to the country to play Polo.  I know our infrastructure is in slightly better condition than some other countries like Spain, but hey... we have to work for a living too.
