I don\'t think microsoft is doing this mainly to be friendly either.  I guess they do this mainly to increase the popularity of their next windows os...and possibly, they are paying firefox to build internet windows to prevent competition between the firefox and internet explorer.

IE sucks royally. I only upgrade it because 1) windows makes me and 2) my college uses it a lot for their bullshit applications which I use maybe once a year.
