Title: The Prestige
Post by: Joker on September 04, 2006, 09:05:59 PM
Anyone else interested in checking this one out?

http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/theprestige/large.html

I think it looks pretty good personally and out of all the big summer movies that came out this year I got more excited by this trailer. Just looks like an overall good movie

Christian Bale - Good!
Michael Caine - Good!
Christopher Nolan - GREAT!

Also it looks like a role Hugh Jackman actually seems good for. A lot of the times I see that guy in movies and i\'m like "Why?"

Lots to look forward too and this is one of the few movies I will actually put money down to go see in the theater.

The Illusionist vs. The Prestige

Weird how these two movies come out at the same time.  I prefer Jessica Biel over Scarlett Johansen to be honest :D

Since Nolan is in charge of Prestige I think it will be more intriguing to say the least

Yeah, it\'s weird how Hollywood often seems to throw out similar themed movies in pairs. Like Armageddon and Impact.

Armageddon and Deep Impact, A Bugs Life and Antz, Saving Private Ryan and Thin Blue Line.

And that was all in one year. ;)

Soon we will have a SECOND film about Truman Capote writing "In Cold Blood."  This one is titled "Infamous" and the trailer looks like crap.  I have a hard time imagining that it could be better than Seymour Hoffman in "Capote."

BTW I thought "The Illusionist" was awesome.
