Title: PS3: Gamestop / EB pre-order info

Sources are saying Tues, Oct 10 EB & Gamestop will be allowing pre-orders for the PS3 with $50 down.  They open at 10am.

I think I\'ll be an hour late to work that day. :ohnoes:

good thing a good friend of mine is a managaer at EB.
i\'m preordering two, one for ebay, possibly both if the selling price is astronomical.

i made a killing when the 360 launched.

Hmmm, I may go there before they open to see if I can squeeze an order in. Anybody have any clue as to how many they might be getting per store? I mean if it\'s like only ten and I\'m the eleventh in line I can just go home.

PS3? Not many. There\'s only 400,000 spread around the country and most will probably go to places like Toys R Us.
 
But it varies store to store and your local store should know in the day or two leading up to the pre-order event.

woohoo, did my source call it or what? :thumb:

I got in line @ 9:05 am and was #6 out of 10.  20 people showed up so half had to be turned away.

i\'m #3 (and my *cough* neighbor is #4) at my local store.
right after my buddy and the store manager.
ebay, here i come!

Thats my plan. Should be able to turn a very nice profit. Hold on to them untill about 2 weeks before xmas and maybe they can fetch a good $1500-$1600. Lots of spoiled rich kids out there with parents that will take a 2nd mortgage to make sure jr. is happy.

You should have seen my line.  About half were parents getting them for their kids!

Couldn\'t make it today. Oh well, I\'ll hunt\'em until I find one even if it\'s after the holidays. So is EB doing only bundles and how much?

By the way, anybody who pays ridiculous prices for a game system is a complete mO-Ron. ;)
