This should help out some of you guys complaining about hdmi costing too much. Or you could go to Circuit City and get them for $90.

Thanks for the heads up. Monoprice has em @ $6.37 (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024004&p_id=2412&seq=1&format=2)
I\'m gonna give a psa though and say it\'s important to note not all HDMI are created equal. The puny, thin one that came with my upscaling dvd player doesn\'t want to work with my switcher.
Go for "premium" 28AWG for short distances. 24AWG for stretches over 15\'. I hear HDMI v1.3 is more demanding for thicker guages.

interesting.

Didn\'t know that. I figured the average "joe" would barely see the difference between this and a super gold plated magic dust covered $80 versions.

10gbps is a helluva lot of information. When you turn your HDMI device on it senses the cable is connected and even tests it for reliability. People on AVS say if the cable is too long & cheap, post-switcher, the device will just spit out an error message.
They replace the cable with the thick Monoprice one I linked and then all is well.

thank you for the info THX. I learn something new there. From that link of your, one can get 24AWG 6\' ft HDMI cable for roughly $18 and the 10\' ft version for $2 1/2 more....

I\'m going to grab the 28AWG you linked, THX. Thanks for the heads up.
