Enjoying this game a lot so far. 60% completed and that\'s without doiing most of the side missions. It\'s got an amusing story that does remind me a bit of my old prep school, mostly the rich snobs (old money) that attended. It\'s one of the best gmaes PS2 has left to offer as a new game now that the PS3 is about here. Go get it.

Is it pretty much GTA set in school? Can you drive at all? $40 hmmmm

You get to build a BMX bike. And you also get a skate board. :)

From what I\'ve seen, this game isn\'t very GTA at all. Maybe GMan will bother with actually giving worthwhile impressions at some point, heh.

Heh I like how in the comments on that article, one guy condemns that kind of content in the game. His avatar is the main character from Yakuza. I guess murderous crime worlds are ok. But homo kissing is reprehensible.
I\'m glad this is in the game and I\'m glad ESRB treated it the same as hetero kissing and gave the game a Teen rating.
Even if the ESRB are just a bunch of pinko liberals. ;]

Fine. :)
Think of it as Grand Theft Auto 3, but the character is an angry 15 year old highschool kid dropped off at a private school. He\'s the new kid. The school is chock full of bullies, rich kids, nerds, jocks and greasers. Like GTA3, you can do some missions. Unlike GTA3, you can interact with the people around you.
A lot of times, you get picked on by bullies. You can fight back or wimper out of a fight. If you fight, the prefects will send your ass to the office. So, kick ass as quickly as possible before the Prefects see you. If they see you, you can run and hide. There\'s a radar at the top right of the screen which shows their visual distance like Metal Gear Solid. After the timer ends, they stop looking for you.
You HAVE to attend classes. The classes are basically games which are quite fun. THere\'s English (find words out of a jumbled set of letters), Art (lame game), Chemistry (Parappa the Rappa button matching game), Gym Class (Dodge Ball) and Shop Class (a lite version of Parappa the Rappa). After finishing each class, you are awarded a few more extras to the game such as taunts (English), fighting moves (from gym) and kissing points (art).
You can make out with the girls as well. But you have to interact with them first and give them praises and then gifts, like Sims 2.
There are several arcade games within the game\'s town. Some are quite nifty. One reminds me a lot of the old Wipeout racing game. Also, there\'s a Carnival in town where you get to do some go-kart racing and honestly, it\'s quite fun. Winning that series opens up another challenge in the game.
The kissing the guy is quite funny and ironic. Coz the guy you kiss, is the most annoying of the bully clan....and he turns out to be gay. ;)
The game has borrowed story bits from The Outsiders, Revenge of the Nerds and Breakfast Club.

Good reviews... looks unique, I might give it a try.

Please do.
Main Forum has been bleak of any game discussions. It\'s all been about hardware for the past.....oh....since PS2 came out.
