Worried about load times?
Genji (http://ps3land.com/article-891.php) will have an option. Play from disk (with about 15 s load time) or install to HDD (4 GB) which cuts that to about four seconds. This is just fantastic news, because the HDDs are in every console, it gives devs a lot more options for install/load time optimization, and here\'s the first example.

pretty dang cool news. My questions are:
1) how long does it take for 4gb to transfer from the BD-ROM to HD?
2) does the game immediately get erased from the HD after ejecting the disc?
It would be great if you could immediately play the game and it would be transferring in the background. Otherwise we\'d have to wait 10-20min, which would give us a reason to RTFM ;>

It\'s a proper install, so it remains on the HDD, but you need the disk in to play, obviously. At the PS3\'s Bluray (2x) speed of 72 mbps (9 Mbps), it will take 450s to transfer, so about 7-8 min.

It\'s lazy, but a decent out.
