Title: Networking help
Post by: Titan on November 12, 2006, 04:09:30 PM
The router in my apartment just stopped working and I have a workgroup switch that we hooked everything up to. Connected to the router, my computer worked on the internet fine but my computer never works in my workgroup switch (it won\'t go on the internet. It says "Limited or no connectivity") But my roommates computer works fine on the switch. Its not the cable or anything because this is the same cable I\'ve been using without a problem and right now I\'m connected directly in the modem. How can I get my computer on the internet through the workgroup switch?

I dunno. How do I find that out?

Playing with my workgroup switch, we found only one computer worked. I also called Linksys and the woman was useless. I waited on hold for like an hour too. She said to do something with windows and when I asked what do I do she said "we aren\'t trained in Windows. You\'re gonna have to figure it out yourself". Anyway, I\'m gonna just go to Best Buy tomorrow and buy a router.
