When I first saw THIS AD (http://youtube.com/watch?v=8q9d--Jb1I0) I was thinking that "that\'s pretty cool, I\'ve seen a lot of drivers who need that" (not me).  But now that I\'ve seen this, it\'s just SAD (http://www.flabber.nl/archief/018301.php) (loud vid).

I saw that ad too. I thought it was cool but didn\'t know much about it so I didn\'t think much of it. If it takes this many steps and it still sucks, who knows. I doubt it will catch on. Its more of a novelty than anything else. I can\'t see anyone actually using this thing to park.

This wonderful technological "advancement" is going to be the worst thing that ever happened to Los Angeles traffic.

We have street parking on many major streets in Los Angeles, and idiots are always blocking traffic to complete their 5 minute parallel parking maneuver.  Combine this wonderful device with stupidity and technophobia, and I predict it\'s going to take even longer.  

Rich shitheels in LA love their Lexuses, so I\'m sure the city is going to be crawling with these things very soon.

I didnt really have the patience to watch the video but it took about 3 times after seeing the commercial that it has in tiiiiiiny ass print to pretty much closely monitor the parking...something to the extent that it isnt reliable.

So when this thing crashes into other cars, people, pets etc., who\'s liable? Lexus or the owner of the car? I\'m guessing the owner, but still... :)

Pretty cool if it worked though.

If I find a place where I need to parallel park, I go find someplace else. If there are no good spots, I go home.

I\'m the exact way. When I drive into Philly, I\'ll park in a garage before I try to parallel park.
