Daniel Craig does a real fantastic job here. I should point out, that I am not in the least a big bond fan.
I\'ve seen the Connery films, and watched a tiny bit of Die Another Day and Tomorrow Never Dies and the other one he did which I cant remember its name.
But I did see Layer Cake awhile back with Daniel Craig and ever since I found out he was going to be Bond my interest in the franchise rose.
Daniel Craig, pulls off the charming ladies man everyone expects Bond to be. But he is also much more manly, a mans man, which is something I never felt from Brosnan.
Bond takes a beating during the entire movie. But it also wasn\'t saturated with over the top action. Thats not to say the action wasn\'t good, but it was a hell of a lot more believable than the action in the Brosnan movies. No invisible cars, no going into outer space, no super nuclear sattelite of doom or whatever that thing was called. NO MADONNA THEME SONG.
Bond can take a beating and dish one out and he does so quite well in Casino Royale.
If your a James Bond fan, or just wanna check out a good movie. Be sure to check this one out.

i\'ll check at the matinee on sunday
layer cake was a great film, btw
-
That it definately was. Been looking forward to Craig\'s take on Bond ever since and was not dissapointed by it.

Here I was thinking I was the only one who loved layerCake(Matthew vaughan)
I recommend you watch Guy Ritchie\'s Revolver(amazing film) nothing like snatch or lockstock, btw.
As for the bond films, I just feel that the franchise has a taken a major nose dive in the last 15 years, however since I became intrigued with Crag from layerCake, I going to see this film with an open mind.

See, I thought the movie was kinda...average. I thought Craig did a great job with the character. I liked how he played it, I liked the characters and all...but the plot seemed to be missing something for me. It was too strung out. It was interesting seeing how things begin and all, but I don\'t know. It was a fun movie, but it certainly didn\'t live up to the hype of one of the best bond movies ever.

Aw, crap, it doesn\'t open here until the 24th. I can\'t wait to see it, the trailer looked badass and the whole reboot thing was needed IMO. And I think D.G. will do nicely as Bond. And of course, a fellow Dane playing the villian doesn\'t weaken my interest either. :D

looks decent. Probably wont see it in theaters though.
the one thing that turned me off was that the bad guy had a scar on his eye. too novel for me....

I thought you had some hookup at a movie theater that allowed you to see new films a week earlier than everyone else in the world. what up, foo?

Haha yeah, not anymore though! Too bad. :)

the movie was fine, Craig\'s a nice Bond and the Danish fella did a good job being... well a villain.
Can\'t decide if I liked the ending or not
Ohh and the "all that is left of me ... is yours" and that whole scene... wayy too long if you\'re not gonna show me the jubblie wubblies then cut that scene down and show me some explosions and people dying.
-
The movie was 1.5 hours of awesome, then 20 minutes of COMPLETE crap, then another 20 minutes of awesome. That 20 minutes of crap was really really bad.

Bond movies has never shown any nipplage.

Atlast some great bond news. I am curious to see this one just for the new actor to see how he fairs up as a Bond character.

I just came back from this movie : this Bond has balls... lol
Anyway, those "crappy 20 minutes" you guys talk of, almost had me fooled as a too happy mellow ending.....but, it didn\'t quite end there yet.
The actual ending screamed to be continued to me...
-
Aye, i\'ll be looking forward to the next installment aswell.

i wish there was more with the car. i need a cliche or two in a bond movie, and as much as they were foreshadowing the vanquish as a badass car, it broke my heart to see it roll before there was a real chase
still loved it though ;>

Oh yeah, I\'ve seen it as well, just forgot to post about it. I think it was really cool, a nice departure from the VFX hell of the last movies. The action was nicely done as well.
It could stand to loose 10-20 mins, but still... thumbs up.
