Well, not sure how real this thing is..
65nm chip
120gb HD
HMDI Port...

interesting!

good if it\'s tru, but i don\'t like when they black out information, like the way it\'s done in that pic,..makes it look like a hoax....we\'ll see.
-
Sucks for the people who already have XBox 360 ;)
-
i kind of wish i wasnt impatient, but i knew they were making this before i bought the 360.
I really dont think its going to be out for a while, the "soon" sentence at the end is a bs thing to even say. Plus the first batch will probably have a bug as always.
Ill live with my 20GB\'s, and im not even sure what HDMI does, so im not gunna spend another $400 on a second 360. Id just get a ps3
-
Damn it ! I might feel the need to sell my December Xbox360 to my brother ( hope he ain\'t broke lol )
-
And waiting for Halo pays off two-fold!
-
I hope it\'s real. At least there\'s no reason it shouldn\'t.
Now, if only MS fixes the sound level and perhaps include the HD-DVD drive and it\'s all good.

It\'s all good, but I have reservations about the supposed larger harddrive included in the bundle as it would likely mean they won\'t drop the price. I just can\'t imagine Microsoft not taking the opportunity to drastically spur sales with a signficant pricedrop rather than a hardware revision.
In any case, there shouldn\'t be any fuss over this. Hardware revisions happen in every technology sector. Early adopters might feel burned, but it\'s the price they pay for having the newest tech toys.
This might be good news for me though, I\'d probably be able to get a 360 for cheap off of a person wanting to get the newer model. In any case, we\'ll know in a few days.

They just released an interview in which two Microsoft representatives definitely, without reservation, stated that the 360 would never use the HD-DVD drive for games. Just as recently, another MS 360 exec said they don\'t like the idea of forcing technology on consumers that isn\'t necessary.
I wouldn\'t count on an included HD-DVD drive.

aside from heat and perhaps lower production cost, there is NO advantage in the 65nm chip. it is no faster.
HDMI port is only for people with older HDTV\'s that can\'t do 1080P over component. use VGA anyways.
120GB hard drive is stupid. hell, 60GB is overkill.
-
I think using the 65nm chip should shrink down the size of the chip, hence meaning lesser power consumption and should solve some overheat problems and game crashes and the such. And maybe it could also get like a couple smoother frame rates too...
But again, what do i know.

If it costs more is it really worth it, I don\'t even have 120GB on my fucking PC. I got one of those stupid add on fans that attaches to the back and I can actually tell the difference that it doesn\'t heat up nearly as much before I\'d put my hand on the top and feel the heat and now I don\'t. As ghey as it seems it appears to work.

Well here in the 2000\'s harddrives don\'t really cost a whole lot. ;)
120 gb is the new 20 gb.

I tried to find a quick upgrade to my 80gb to do some DVD convert stuff. The cheapest I could find in the new hardware was a 250gig for 109$ (CAD).

Thanks for this. I don\'t feel so bad about there being a new model then, heh.

60GB isn\'t overkill when you factor in the "buying movies over Xbox Live" idea, mm.
-
Lol ! I just sold my Xbox360 & 1 game for a pretty good price : 315 Euros :thumb:
Bring on PAL PS3 or Xbox360 Zephyr !

I know, right? When I got my laptop, 80 was the highest I could get for it. Now I can get 250 gigs for what I paid to have the 80 put in. I\'m getting an external hard drive soon with atleast 250, probably 300 gigs. I\'ll use it all eventually.

*wonders how Titan will use all of the 300 GBytes when he got one*

how long would you expect to keep that movie on there?
-
Movies, TV shows, music. I have numerous full TV series on my PC that take up at least 10GB per show.
You keep them forever.
-
why would you pay to download a tv show and lock it into your 360 hard drive?
you would really watch it again some time in the future?
the ones on your PC are not compatible because you can easily archive them to media.

Why don\'t you just continue to download them on your PC, and then stream them from your PC to your 360?

Turns out that this is only a prototype HDMI version. MS will not release this....at least for a while. I could be wrong.

And you probably are ;)
