Thoughts?

I thought "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" would be cool...

The sword of Shannara was made into a game. More of a narrative game, little action, but I played it through after reading the book. Wasn\'t awful, but only if you enjoy the narrative-story genre.
Lord of the flies is a book which I can\'t see staying true to the story and being successful, and it isn\'t a premise that can be expanded to other locations than a small group on an island.
Most of the others I can see being made into games, although I would stay away from the HALO book, just because they may as well write a new chapter on the storyline if they make a new game.

only one of those i read was lord of the flies. Seems like it would be a shitty game to me.
except killing the fat kid would kind of funny

Yay Snow Crash!

Eh...
Nothing too extraordinary on that list.

The main problem with lists like this is that any game made off it is missing one major factor for a AAA title. Originality. There won\'t be any big surprises or new characters or twists in a game based on an already written work.

yeah, but you can say the same about movies that was made from the books like lord of the rings trilogy, harry potter, spiderman, x-men, etc. maybe some won\'t mind if games were made from books because they would like to see it the action on screen instead of just text on book. and the cool thing is you can control it beside watching it.
