Sweet. I know they had problems with the singer. I guess they worked everything out. I was hoping they would reunite some day. But I do really like Audioslave and their guitarist I think is amazing.

It\'s just for Cochella.

Still cool. They were a great band.

I\'d like them back together, mostly cause they\'re pretty good, and I think Audioslave sounds like trash.

overrated when compared to what? If comparing bands that were with them during their time RATM was one of the best. Ceartinly much better than any rock or rap group out today. It doesn\'t have to be obscure and on some indie record label to be good and appreciated.

For a main stream band they ceartinly had a lot more credibility than 90% of the bands they played beside.

Regardless of weather you think they are overrated and if I think they aren\'t. They got a lot of their fans thinking on topics that were in the songs that normally the listener never would of bothered to think about. Maybe thats ignorrance on the part of the listener or maybe its the talent of the band branching out.

There really hasn\'t been a band since that has filled the spot Rage occupied which is why I think they are still appreciated and still have fans all over the globe waiting for news like this.

and even tho critics like to say that System of the Down picked up where Rage left off, I don\'t think they even compare. To each his own I guess.

That\'s absurd.

Then name me some bands who get to sit in the limelight like RATM did back in the day who are just as good today.
Last I checked the music charts over here were dominated by "piano rock" and hip hop.

Or maybe i\'ve just given up on music from today because i\'ve been let down by it over and over :P

I think more indie bands are getting popular. I dunno. Most of the bands I listen to aren\'t in mainstream music. Some is but most aren\'t on the charts. I\'ve been listening to more older music as of lately anyway.

A bands popularity has absolutely no bearing on how good they are and should not matter when you as an individual make the decision on whether you like them or not.

Which is why I listen to indie as well as mainstream. I listen to Nickelback, Audioslave, John Mayer, etc. I like to listen to whatever sounds good.

sounds good to me. Only album i actually could listen every single song was the first album though. The rest just had some awesome songs mixed with some easily skippable ones for me.

overrated? not really..techincally any band with some fame is "overrated" because some people just dont like some bands. I think Lamb of God is amazing, and theyre mainstream, so to people that dont like them i overrate them. mm\'s just a sour puss of the forum :D

I would too but I take them for what they are instead of what they were. I\'m open minded to pretty much all music. I\'m pretty much mostly about Rock and all its subgenres. That includes modern, older and classic rock. If it pleases my ear, I don\'t care.
