I\'m putting together a party at a cabin next weekend, and I\'m planning to have a PS2 and an XBox 360 available for the guests. What multiplayer games should I have on hand?
I already have Guitar Hero II and two guitar controllers, and I was also planning to play some golf games like Swing Away and Hotshots. (Believe it or not, these are excellent multiplayer games) I also have some of the classic arcade games through Xbox live.
What am I overlooking? Thanks!

If you had GameCube, I\'d say Super Smash Bros or Mario Party. Those are pretty fun party games. Get a few FPS games too. TimeSplitters is a good one for parties.
-
Interesting idea. I have the original Timesplitters, and I do recall that it was sort of fun as a multiplayer game. Red Faction was good too. I might decide to buy a newer edition of Timesplitters.

Gears of War, Halo 2.
-
Fuzion Frenzy

Is Fuzion Frenzy 2 better? The screenshots look a little dorky.
I wonder if I need two more XB controllers.
Oh by the way, I\'m bringing Gears of War, Table Tennis, and all my Tekken games.

I havent played the second one but id imagine its the same thing but with a few more games.
Either way i think looking at screenshots it will look dumb. But playing it ends up being fun as hell, especially with 4 people.
The gladiator ball game where u knock people off a ledge and another one where you run up a screw-like thing while its spinning down and you duck/jump a bunch of obstacles alone will get you addicted

The original Red Faction was only 2 player though. The multiplayer in Red Faction was weak. RF2 was better.

never played the original ff2, but played the sequel, is ok, nothing great, some fun games, some not so fun ones!!
apparently the first one is better!

I\'d go DDR, Guitar Hero, Fuzion Frenzy, Fight Night R3, Tetris Worlds and Virtua Fighter 4.
Or, a sampling from those.
Those are the most universal among my friends. Shooters tend to exclude non-gamers.

There was this game I saw on a PS2 a year ago I forgot whats it called. It was like those TV shows where you are being asked questions about movies, music etc and there are a few other contest games too. You can play with 4 friends (Each represented in the game by funny looking characters you choose) and the one who answers the most wins money and prizes.
You even have remote control like controllers with 3 buttons just like the show.
I playied with with my sis and cousin at a Virgin Megastore last year. Very funny game

You thinking of SceneIt? If so, its a rather fun game.

Gears of War

Bring a cheap poker table and a Texas Hold\'em kit. Play for chips and the person who wins gets a prize.
Otherwise a GC, 4 controllers, and Mario Party.
-
Yes naturally we are playing poker. :) Also a few other card games and board games. I just want to make sure we have some video games available as a diversion.
I think I\'m going to skip the Xbox party games because I don\'t feel like buying two more controllers. Those things are so freaking expensive. I will focus on the PS2 since I already have plenty of hardware.

Super Monkey Ball has some great party games. I believe that\'s out for PS2.
-
When you go on this party, don\'t forget the beer and weed ;)

HOT SHOTS GOLF fOre! and play for skins, son...you\'ll never see more intense putts when you play 4-player skins match and you play $1 per hole per person, and you\'ve built up 4 or 5 holes and it\'s down to 1 putt....
or just have sex.

I have Hot Shots 3, which I like. My friends seem to prefer the old "Swing Away" but either one is fine with me.
BTW Titan, I think you have me confused with that dork from Alaska. :)
