speaking of baseball, mlb 2k7 is looking awesome for 360. Tempted to get it the day it comes out but 2k6 was so shitty...
hopefully there\'s a demo

Anyway, off to buy 5 copies of whatever the hell.

as per my usual anti-spamming policy, I\'ll be sure to tell everyone interested that it sucks, which it most likely does if it needs weak ass attempts viral marketing to get the word out :thumb:

viral sounds like some type of virus sickness...shouldn\'t it be oral marketing?..no that doesn\'t sound right either,....maybe "word of mouth marketing"
-
to be a admin again and do things to that persons profile...... ahh well.

mlb 2k7 is awesome. Can download the demo, whoever has a 360.
batting is a little tough, but everything else is really good. sucks i have a shitty week of school
-
I don\'t know how you think it\'s awesome, but I\'m happy for you.
Me, I put it down after one inning, I want MVP back.
-
everyone knows mvp was a great baseball game.
bottom line is there isnt an mvp anymore (who wants to play ncaa) and ill take what i can get.
graphics are good, hitting i have to get used to, animations are good, baserunning seems fixed. Theres obviously going to be problems because 2k6 was so bad but i still like the 2k7 demo enough to buy it.
main difference im seeing is the speed of the players are more sluggish, which is honestly more realistic than MVP was, but it was still more fun that way.

after playing it for a few days, iv grown to like it even more. When i first started i lost 4 games in a row by 1 run and had like 14 strikeouts (me being the one striking out) because hitting is very hard.
But after reading people\'s suggestions and getting used to it iv grown to love the hitting. Pitcher tendencies and reading the ball\'s direction out of the pitchers hand rather than waiting till its halfway is a huge part of it. the speed of the pitch, for me at least, is still a crap-shoot sometimes
IMO, if you dont like the game, it\'s because theyre are finding it hard. I was ready to put the game down after losing my first 4 games (after screwing with the sliders to make it more realistic). Think its more playable than people think.
my main complaint right now is that homeruns get robbed too often..which is like once a game, sometimes more when it\'s ridiculous. Most i\'ve had is 3 in a game.
And i dont know what people are complaining about the fielding. catching popups are easy and theres maybe one in every 35 groundballs that are stupid and go right by the guy standing next to the ball, but that happened in MVP too
-
Yeah well.. I ended up buying it too cuz I gotta play with my Angels. I like the game, don\'t get me wrong, but the hitting is something that\'s very frustrating. I don\'t mind pressing one direction on the right stick but it\'s like a whole bunch of crap you gotta do with it, all in the meantime following the pitch with the left stick.
I\'m trying to get used to it but I\'m getting my ass kicked. I got through the home run derby somewhat but it\'s not just the swinging that\'s hard, it\'s the keeping from swinging that\'s hard as well.
-
i dont think you need to hold the left stick down. You just guess with the left stick where the pitch is going, if by the time the pitcher starts his motion and the ball doesnt show up, that means u guessed wrong. But it doesnt affect ur hitting. Just if you get it right u know where the pitch is going.
Its definitly not easy. But like most games i have a feeling ill get used to it.
If i/you have to, they do have the classic controls where the batting is like MVP, but honestly, after using the hit stick its kind of boring.
The thing that iv found that works best is playing when you are in a \'take pitches\' kind of mood and to use the pull back and then push left/right/up when you have some strikes to take, but with 2 strikes to just use pull back and release.
-
I could be wrong but I thought you have to follow the pitch with the left stick also?
Like if it\'s low press down, if it\'s outside right, press right, all while swinging.
I know about the fact that before the pitch you point towards where you think the ball is but I was under the impression that the left stick is used for a before hunch and then the real pitch which you point it towards.
Again, I could be wrong. Maybe I\'ll rtfm
-
Pretty sure if u want the ball to left field (aka if its inside and ur right handed), you pull back on the right stick and roll it to the left/ roll it to the right for right field, and just let it go to hit it to center
-
Werd, I think you might be right I mean it sounds like it might make sense but theres no way to swing high and swing low?
Any of you guys have 2k7 for the ps3? What\'s this I hear about you have to swing the whole controller or something?
-
Sounds like a gimmick.
-
Werd, I think you might be right I mean it sounds like it might make sense but theres no way to swing high and swing low?
that\'s automatic with it. To swing low and pop it up u push foreward after pulling back. And swing high/grounder/line drive with the other 3 ways
this game does piss me off sometimes, lol. Have u ever had one of those games where it seems like no matter how u time it, the controls feel clunky and you\'re always swinging late? I also wish they made the bunt a different button than the swing stick. Don\'t know how many times i went to crush a pitch and ended up making a late bunt and whiffing
