I\'m an intern at the WB in New York doing some of their web stuff. Heres the deal though. I need to find a place between now and March 26th (my start date). They hired me today so its not that I\'ve been lazy. I\'ve been checking around craigslist but I was wondering if you guys knew of anywhere else that I could be looking at.

Happy bday!! :cool2: :ele: :wav2:

ps- from ohio to NY? That\'s quite a switch. Congrats on the yob, I started out as a web intern too. There is never a shortage of CSS gurus / web developers in a big metropolitan city.. it\'s a great industry for fellow slackers that know a thing or two about the web.
Craigslist is #1 for internships, followed by career fairs or job postings at your college. You can also visit sites of places you\'re interested in and actively pester them to be an unpaid intern. Good luck!

Well its only a temp thing. My school does this internship program where is three months of working and three months of school. You rotate work and school until you graduate....I still have another 3 years of school. But yeah, I\'m pumped and THX I think you missed the point. I need a place to live, not a place to work. Getting the internship was the easy part.

THX always misses the point. Are you moving to NY or staying in Ohio?
-
I\'ll be living in NY. I\'ll be moving in less than 2 weeks.
-
That\'s a crazy transition. How do they expect you to do that big move in less than 2 weeks? I guess the absolute worst case scenario would be that you live in a motel or something for a week or so.
-
Its New York, everyone is constantly moving. I think I\'ve already found a place and its been 2 days. My program\'s strength lies in getting us real world experience at good firms. Unfortunately those firms aren\'t in Cincy so we have to relocate often. More than likely next year I\'ll be making the move from Ohio to California and hopefully the year after that I\'ll be living in Switzerland.
The chance to travel and work in all these cities is why I love my major and my school.

That\'s probably the biggest selling point of me being a pilot. I love seeing the country and hopefully the world. I can\'t wait to start flying so I can be in a different place every day.

i absolutely loved new york when i used to live in jersey.....make sure you hit some of the clubs and restaurants(spel)....trust, they have some of the hottest clubs and eateries on the east coast.

I\'m more about Philly.

damn i need to actually read posts before replying.
craigslist is also my favorite spot for roomies. The other "official" sites have a prettier face and a seemingly intuitive matchmaking system but they want you to pay $$$ so screw that. CL helped me score an entire basement in the hipster douchebag part of town that\'s 4 blocks from the subway stop :artyon:

heh...as long as i\'ve lived in jersey i\'ve never been to philly....i have passed through it while traveling on 95, but that\'s about it.

Philly has a lot of culture and raving Eagles fans, but NYC is where it\'s at if you\'re a 20-30 something. (I also lived in Jersey for a while)
