You\'ll come home for the holidays....in a body bag!
http://media.movies.ign.com/media/749/749962/vids_1.html
Check out the fake trailer for "Thanksgiving". This is one of the fake trailers from Grindhouse that plays in between Planet Terror and Death Proof. This one is directed by Eli Roth, who directed Hostel and Cabin Fever.
This thing is hillarious. I can\'t wait to see Grindhouse this weekend, looks like a ton of movie fun.
-
Yeah Grindhouse looks like about 10 kinds of awesome.
-
looks interesting.....when i saw that seen with the chic that had the gun in her leg, i was like wtf?...:D...i like crazy different s**t like that...
-
if i can get past kurt russell being a corney actor out of my head, i might enjoy the film
not 100% sure why i see him as corney. That one movie about a fucked up LA in 2010 er whatever was really stupid. Only other one besides that movie that i remember was the one with the plane being hijacked. Executive decision er something. Was alright, but i was also an easily entertained kid when it came out so it was more than likely dumb
-
Kurt Russell is fucking bad-ass! SNAAAAKE PLISSSSSKEN BABY!
EDIT: Viper, watch Dark Blue. Now.
-
it\'s a shame that this crap will make 10\'s of millions and films like "The Prestige" pretty much tank.
-
I kind of agree with you mm, about the crap part. I\'m not familiar with the Prestige.
But grindhouse... to me, it has hot chicks in it and nothing else. It looks pretty stupid. I think Terantino is getting overrated.
-
Prestige and Illusionist were VERY good movies.
-
The Prestige was a fine movie. I haven\'t watched The Illusionist, but the biggest draw seems to be Ms. Biel. ;)
However I don\'t see Grindhouse making a lot of money. It might be fun, but I\'m not sure it\'s my bag, baby.
-
Maybe The Prestige tanked because it featured a certain talentless black hole of screen space known as Hugh Jackman. It might also have been the idiotic script. Who knows?
-
Lol Coredweller, I\'m surprised you dislike Hugh Jackman. Seems I\'m easily surprised today. :D
-
Christian Bale almost offsets the vortex of empty superficiality that is Hugh Jackman. Can you imagine how awful that film would have been without Bale?
Christian Bale need to stay away from big budget hollywood films from now on. Next thing you know, he will appear in a Will Smith vehicle, and everyone will say "Wow! Will Smith can really act!" Nope, he just appears to be acting when he\'s in a scene with Christian Bale.
-
I enjoyed The Illusionist aswell as The Prestige. I can forgive Hugh Jackman for Kate & Leopold I guess.
Off-topic but I saw Serenity today and that film was immensly good. Good to the point that I now want to go check out the Firefly TV series.
-
You\'re in for a pleasant surprise, because the television series was better than the movie. I think the last episode, "Objects in Space" was my favorite. Too bad there\'s only one season.
-

Agreed. But I really think this movie is gonna suck. Even the previews look shitty.
-
I LOVE Christian Bale.

seriously? well thats shitty :(
-
Serenity got me into Firefly as well. Go ahead and just buy the damn dvd set (it\'s cheap!), you will most likely re-watch random episodes over & over.
It\'s like Cowboy Bebop meets .... i dunno.. the goonies!
-
lol nice comparison.
and yes I will still be picking it up, I knew the show was cancelled and that it was not on the air for long. I just didn\'t know it was only on for a single season, I thought at least 3 or something.
-
Yeah too bad, because Firefly is great. :(
On a related note, somehow The Fountain just got released over here in theaters (!?) and I watched it last night. I remember wanting to see it back when Brad Pitt was attached, long beard and all. And I was kinda bummed when the whole thing crashed. Oh well, I\'ve finally seen it, and let me say... Aronofsky is the greatest human being to grace this earth. :D
He and Chris Nolan is the reason I\'m not totally depressed about today\'s state of cinema.
-
The only problem with The Fountain....
HUGH JACKMAN. :(
-
saw GH sat night, well worth the $10 or whatever i paid...
the first part was just campy zombie fun. just silliness that has been done before but on a much bigger scale. the 2nd part is the real deal of this movie. i literally stood up, clapped and cheered at the ending along with many others... and i never do that haha. the first part pales in comparison after watching the entire thing.
just a warning the entire movie is NOT for those with weak stomachs. it is very long and takes a warped mind to sit through all 3hrs+ of this crazyness, and i haven\'t found a girl that likes the first part of the flick, which is half the experience. wouldn\'t take a date here unless she\'s some emo ass art student.
well that\'s that. i wouldn\'t see this again unless i went in an hour and a half late or had absolutely nothing to do but I still recommend it to y\'all
-
I was busy this weekend and never got the chance to go see it like I orginally planned :( Hopefully I can go sometime in the mid week.
-
Well, Grindhouse tanked, No.4 debut with $10 mill
-
It bombed

I can\'t see myself going to see this, but who knows. Maybe some day i\'ll rent it.
-
shame it didn\'t meet estimates
"Although the overall opening weekend box office was disappointing, the film played to big, cheering crowds in New York, Los Angeles, and other large cities
well he got that right, i saw this at the Uptown in DC (single screen, dbl decker theater) and the enormous crowd made the movie that much more enjoyable
-
Ah well, can\'t say i\'m really suprised, the movie definatley has that "aquired taste" feel to it.
I still want to check it out and from what i\'ve been hearing a lot of it had to be cut out so it didn\'t get the NC-17 rating. So i\'ll be looking forward to seeing the un-cut DVD when it comes out.
I still say the best place to watch this movie would be at a drive in.
Probably old news but apparently Robert Rodriguez was fucking Rose Mcgowan. Or maybe its just the rumor mill spinning. Either way I never heard of it until tonight

EDIT: Who the fuck names their kids Rocket, Racer, Rebel, Rogue, and Rhiannon? :O
Thats worse than Nicholas Cage naming his son Kal-El.
EDIT #2: Okay no, I was thinking about it. Thats still not as bad as naming your kid Kal-El.
-
EDIT: Who the fuck names their kids Rocket, Racer, Rebel, Rogue, and Rhiannon? :O.
two words..super-heroes...you of all people should know that you dastardly villian!...;)

Wow, I didn\'t know that either. Rodriguez\'s wife should have expected that he would trade up. This might be an useful tip for wives everywhere: Don\'t turn yourself into a baby factory and become as big as a house. Two kids is enough. ZPG is good for everyone. AND... you might be able to keep your husband.
