Hey guys, its been awhile. Bought a R35 350GT Nissan Skyline (Jap G35)accouple of months back, aweome car, love it to death. Anyone else here have one? Done any mods? I\'ve got Nismo exhaust plus a stack of other goodies. Truly is an awesome car.
-
Wow. I would instantly sell my car to buy a Skyline (left driver side, of course).
That is the Holy Grail among the Mitsu and Subie owners.
-
What model year is it? When you say G35, are you saying its the same as the US Market Infiniti G35? If so, then yes it\'s a great car, but you see them everywhere over here.
-
2002+ US Infiniti G35 = 2002+ Japanese Nissan Skyline. Same car, there is no Infiniti in Japan.
They are great cars powered by the trusty VQ35DE. A couple years back I would nut over a Caribbean Blue G35c 6MT, but now that I live in the city having a new car is useless so I\'ll stick with my used POS. That said, I hope you enjoy, they are great cars.
-
i absolutely luv the g35,...when i\'m thru with the lex, my next whip will definitely be between a late model benz or the g35...i\'m honestly leanin\' toward the g35. i\'ve always liked them.
-
2003 silver coupe, they are the same car as the G35\'s, except the interior trim is different - burgandy suede and black leather, very, very nice, plus a few minor difference, but they are essentially the same. Power and exhaust note makes me wanna cream me jeans. Gotta love Nismo.
-
I drove an \'06 g35 like a month ago
i was cool but it didnt seem like anything that special
i must have been missing something
-
I think the G35 is overrated.
-
overrated?....this is one sweet looking,..great performing car..
-
0-60/0-100km in 5.6 secs, now that can\'t be snuffed at.

The Skyline is somewhat similar and disimilar to the US G35 at the same time:

^^^That\'s the skyline?!.....damn!...they need to bring that version to the states....i love the front end of that whip!...:fro:
-
Nissan of America has decided that the Nissan 350Z is good enough for Americans. The rest of the wrong-side-of-the-road countries get the Skyline.

Where I agree with you, there are plenty that outperform it.

I don\'t think he claimed it was the greatest car in the universe.
-
Oh he did.

In December I helped a friend buy a new car. We test drove four cars: The BMW 328i Coupe, Infiniti G35 coupe, Acura TSX, and Lexus IS250.
By our evaluation, the G35 ranked 3rd out of 4. (The Acura was last) Admittedly performance was not the primary consideration, but each of these cars is supposed to provide a moderate amount of performance and "fun factor" within a luxury framework. The G35 might offer the best "bang for the buck" performance-wise, but it fell down in other areas.
For example, the Lexus blew everything else away in build quality; even the BMW. Combine that with the Toyota reputation for reliability, and my friend ended up buying an IS250. Now, if you were to choose an IS350 instead, I think you would have a much nicer package than the G35. It\'s a newer car, and the technology level is amazing.
All this assumes you actually care about the luxury feature set, such as heated seats, dual zone climate control, power everything, full leather interior, etc. If you DON\'T care about that stuff (and I don\'t care about most of it) then you could save a lot of money by dropping down to a Honda / Nissan / Mitsubishi / Subaru level product.

That is the R36 GT-R concept, being release early next year from what I\'ve heard. Thats a Jap only car, but they\'ll eventually infulltrate AU and other import markets 2-4 years after release, thanks to SEVPs.
this is the Skyline version of the G35.

when you can afford a $150k playtoy you shouldn\'t even be at the Infiniti dealer ;) How\'d you manage a ride in a gt?
clips- seriously.. it will be anywhere from $55k-$80k from rumors I\'ve read, including several different variations of the car. that\'s definitely out of boy ricer territory, so it will be rare to spot one
-
I\'ll believe it when I see it.

That\'s a nice car but I still like the older skylines better. I\'d still "test drive" this though :)
