Anyone know anybody there? Someone student-aged walked the halls, emptying magazines one class at a time. 21 dead, maybe 20 more injured. Then he killed himself.
-
i was kinda worried when i first heard this,..i have a niece that goes to virginia state, then i heard it was virginia tech....still it\'s a horrible tragedy...what is up with these kids today?...s**t if you wanna kill yourself, do it in the privacy of your own home,... instead you wanna kill innocent people that have nothing to do with your insane bulls**t,...then you want to take the cowardly way out and kill yourself...
-
It\'s hard to imagine so many young, college kids sitting in class one minute and dead the next for no good reason. I just hate to hear shit like that.... Awful.
-
Shouldn\'t this be in current events? Oh well... What a waste of human life.

everyone\'s favorite sis goes there, she\'s safe. dad tried calling her a million times but the phone system is overloaded so all cells were dead. thx to the advancement of IM she was able to tell me she\'s safe and I called my parents with the bad news.

agreed

We should just have offtopic and nothing else.
It is tragic though. A friend of mine came by to my apartment and was telling me about it. I looked it up online and sure enough there were news articles. Really sad.

"We should just have offtopic and nothing else."
Yeah, this forum has run its course I\'m afraid.
-
great... bowling for virginia tech.... in theatres this fall.
-
Unfriggin believable

33 dead this morning. Anyone who was shot had at least three bullets in them.
This guy wandered into the engineering hall, chained the door shut and went to work. He had a vest and lots of extra ammo.
-
so he was a korean national!?
-
Souf Korean. I posted his name in the OT forum.
-
Damn AZNs!
-
He was raised from an infant in the US, so although he\'s technically Korean, he\'s really an American.
-
I thought I read somewhere he came to the states when he was 8? Meh, doesn\'t really matter, his nationality had nothing to do with this tragedy.

Just sad & depressing :( Eerie to go to their myspace page and see friends saying "Hey call me and let me know you\'re all right!" turn to "RIP"
-
Wow. I wasn\'t particularly distraught about this event. But reading those myspace entries definatley makes me feel different about it :(

Pfft Coredweller, that\'s just Iraqi people, they hardly count.
-
Plus, we can all relate to sitting in school. We can\'t relate to the streets of Baghdad.
Still, both suck.
The day after VT massacre, like 150 people blew up in Iraq. Wonderful.

Saw the video on CNN about Cho\'s grandmother. She said even she could barely get a response out of Cho. She mentioned that she would call his parent and ask about how he\'s doing. Apparently, even his parents had a hard time understanding why their son was so quiet.
-
Have you heard rumors that Cho\'s parents attempted suicide this week? I\'ve heard that several times but I couldn\'t be bothered to figure out whether this actually happened. I guess I don\'t care whether they live or die.
