Title: Golf
Post by: Luke on April 29, 2007, 06:25:31 PM
So I used to be waaaay into golf. Played almost every week with Jar O Pickles.

Then I moved to Michigan, lost my golfing buddy, and just never really played.

Yesterday we went golfing for the first time in a couple years. We decided to play again cause...

1 -  We missed it.

and

2 - We need some frickin\' exercise.

Long story short. I\'m hooked again. Gonna go out this week and replace my POS set with a some new clubs, and I can\'t wait to go again.

Anyone else here play?

Any good?

I suck really, really hard right now, but I haven\'t played in a few years and I\'m really looking to get some practice in and get better.

haven\'t played in a year.  Also need clubs.  I use to shoot in te low 80s when I played a lot.  Now I can barely break a hundred.  Unless of course I kick a few balls and take a few mulligans.  Which I don\'t do.

I played once last year due to house/baby biz...I live about a par 5 from a public course, and I hope to sneak out soon.

Not bad, I used to play once a week, but I work M-F now and it\'s a pain in the ass to get out on the weekend and play unless you have a playing partner. I shoot in the low 90\'s but I love to go out and play. I have a set of titleist irons 5-PW and my driver 3W 5W and hybrid 3 and 4 irons are all Taylor Made. Buying used is probably the best way to go. I think if the weather stays alright I\'m playing this weekend.

Me and Jar O Pickles hit \'em at the range and loved \'em.

I\'ve hit the new Nike SQ and the Callaway FT drivers and they are nice, they just make a extremely weird sound when you make contact.

Yea, used golf clubs are a lot like buying used video games from stores, still to pricey :) I bought my clubs on eBay for 200 dollars the irons that is the rest I\'ve either received as gifts or purchased used. My used putter was only 40 bucks much cheaper than buying it new for 80 bucks.

Only golf I ever played was minigolf. But I guess that really doesn\'t count as golfing, does it :) Great place to take a date though ;)

^^

LOL. That reminds me of Family Guy.

Cleveland: I must say, I do feel a strange satisfation watchin\' the black ball topple all those self-righteous white pins.
Joe: Can\'t blame \'em for being self-righteous, the black ball\'s in their neighborhood uninvited.
Cleveland: The black ball\'s done nothing wrong.
Joe: If the black ball\'s innocent it has nothing to fear.
